\tDis-Chem Pharmacies\u2019 in Linksfield has an opportunity available for a Clinic Receptionist to join the team. The main purpose of this role will be to attend to patients on the phone and in person.
\n\tCoordinate and organize appointments and documentation to facilitate the smooth running of the clinic and support the delivery of quality patient care.<\/p>\n

Job Description:<\/p>\n
\tRegister patients according to established standards.
\n\tAssists patients in completing necessary medical forms including medical insurances.
\n\tMonitor and maintain the clinical equipment, stationery and medication required.
\n\tInform patients of clinic procedures and manages patient\u2019s records.
\n\tOpen new patient files according to standard procedures.
\n\tEnsure patient information is correct.
\n\tProcess medical aid payments.
\n\tMove patients through appoints as scheduled.
\n\tObtain medical reports if required.
\n\tEnsure the reception area is clean and maintained to safeguard the patient\u2019s privacy and confidentiality.
\n\tAnswer all incoming calls within a reasonable time according to Dis-Chem standards.
\n\tUse proper telephone etiquette when speaking with patients over the phone.
\n\tGive relevant and accurate information to callers regarding their requests, questions or concerns.
\n\tEnsure to take down caller details on all calls that come through to the switchboard for the third time, and email the relevant staff.
\n\tEnsure you are taking the correct message from the callers \u2013 repeat the message to the caller for confirmation.
\n\tTake extra care when taking caller contact details \u2013 repeat the details to the caller for confirmation.
\n\tAsk the caller adequate question to ensure the correct message is transferred.
\n\tEnsure that messages or calls get transferred to the correct person at all times.
\n\tAssist walk-in guests in reaching staff for in regards to meetings and\/ or deliveries.
\n\tProvide customers with area codes, work telephone numbers and other relevant information when requested.
\n\tEnsure customers, guest and callers receive relevant feedback, within good time, regarding queries.
\n\tHelps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
\n\tAdvice and assist patients regarding medical aid authorization procedures.
\n\tFollow up with patients regarding any feedback requested.<\/p>\n
