In this role you will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tMaintain robust financial controls to measure and monitor plant financial performance.
\n\tPrepare costing, monthly forecasts, budgets and variance analyses, present insights and recommended corrective actions to operational leadership.
\n\tProduce timely financial reports for site management and Finance Head Office; support month-end close.
\n\tDrive cost control initiatives to ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets.
\n\tSupport departmental heads to embed cost awareness and implement efficiency measures.
\n\tMonitor variances and lead root-cause investigations.
\n\tManage fixed assets records and capital project accounting; ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation (evaluate useful lives and residual values).
\n\tSupport forecasting, approvals and post-implementation reviews.
\n\tOversee consumables and spares inventory management and the buying function; liaise with Group Procurement on contract administration and supplier development.
\n\tMonitor stock levels to optimise working capital and prevent over-capitalisation.
\n\tAct as finance business partner to plant leadership; liaise with Finance Head Office, Shared Services and auditors on reporting and compliance.
\n\tEnsure financial activities comply with corporate policies, statutory requirements and HSECQ principles.
\n\tSupport internal and external audits; maintain secure information records and documentation.
\n\tManage the Time & Attendance and payroll office at plant level.
\n\tMaintain and improve finance systems used by the department; participate in system upgrades and testing.
\n\tDesign, implement and monitor internal controls to prevent\/detect fraud and errors.
\n\tIncorporate risk assessment results into reporting and recommend remediation actions.<\/p>\n
About you:<\/p>\n
\tRelevant NQF6 or higher qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business
\n\tCA(SA)\/CIMA or equivalent will be advantageous
\n\tMinimum 8 years\u2019 post-qualification finance experience, preferably in mining or manufacturing, including at least 3 years in middle management role.
\n\tStrong knowledge of costing, financial reporting, capital accounting and fixed assets.
\n\tExperience with time-attendance and payroll processes at plant level
\n\tExperience in procurement, stores, accounts receivable and payable
\n\tHands-on experience with SAP S\/4HANA (FI\/CO, MM), BPC and Hyperion.
\n\tAdvanced MS Office literacy (pivot tables, lookups).
\n\tUnderstanding HSECQ principles and their application to finance department.
\n\tStrong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
\n\tHigh level of discretion when handling confidential information.
\n\tFormal leadership training will be advantageous (FLDP, MMP, SLP)<\/p>\n
