\tWe\u2019re looking for a dynamic Airfreight Manager with strong overall airfreight management experience.
\n\tThis role is for our JHB Airfreight branch based in Linbro Park.<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 Certificate
\n\t3-year freight forwarding related qualification at NQF level 6<\/p>\n
Knowledge and experience<\/p>\n
\t7 years\u2019 operational airfreight experience in Freight Forwarding Industry of which 3 years were in a supervisory capacity.
\n\tINCO Terms. Basic international trade principles
\n\tTransport modal selection. Carrier conditions of carriage
\n\tCommercial, transport and statutory body documents & stamps
\n\tProduct specific freight handling & movement requirements. External Business Environment
\n\tApplicable sections of Import & Export control Act. Functional business objectives, strategies
\n\tCompany service charge. Rate structure. Geographical locations.
\n\tTariff calculation concepts. National currencies and international codes
\n\tBasic customs and other statutory body cargo clearance procedure
\n\tFreight forwarding and clearing document flow procedure
\n\tShipshape\/relevant operating system
\n\tComputer literacy (Ms Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) –
\n\tProblem solving and results driven. Client centric and strong communication is a must.
\n\tGood communication skills ( Verbal and Written)
\n\tFinancial Acumen & Administration skills. Planning, organising & time management.
\n\tStaff coaching and mentoring. Change and Conflict management
\n\tAssertiveness, Initiative, Proactive ,Independence, Integrity and diplomacy<\/p>\n
Advantageous attributes<\/p>\n
\tCustomer service orientation – able to handle a demanding customer environment.
\n\tDynamic self-starter that works independently and can handle pressure.<\/p>\n
Overall responsibilities include\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tManage and oversee the freight movement of airfreight cargo.
\n\tManage and Oversee Imports Team and Estimators
\n\tEffect creditors disbursements and process debtors invoices
\n\tImport sales and servicing
\n\tManage the Airfreight Department, Drawing, Degroup, Drivers,
\n\tFinancial Management
\n\tComply with the requirements of the quality management system.
