ICT Infrastructure support \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Information Communication Technology (ICT) Steering Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s Honours Degree (or equivalent NQF Level 8) in a mining-related discipline such as Mining Engineering, Geology, Rock Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Mine Environmental Control, or other related Mine Health and Safety disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>Added Advantages<\/p>\n<p>\tMaster\u2019s degree will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n\tQualification in Project Management will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n\tProject management experience will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n\tGovernment Certificate of Competency (GCC) will be an added advantage\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>\t6 years\u2019 on mine experience, encompassing at least 2 years\u2019 experience in people management or in a supervisory role.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Preferred Skills<\/p>\n<p>Key performance areas<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n<p>\tReview research projects and outcomes to identify opportunities for marketing, promotion, publication, training, and intellectual property (IP) development.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and implement a research dissemination plan to ensure effective sharing of health and safety information across diverse stakeholders in the South African mining sector.<br \/>\n\tContribute to the annual knowledge management implementation programme.<br \/>\n\tIdentify and extract capacity-building and training opportunities arising from research outcomes.<br \/>\n\tContribute to the development and implementation of the Safety in Mines Research Advisory Committee (SIMRAC) workplan.<br \/>\n\tMonitor and report on progress against the SIMRAC workplan.<br \/>\n\tProvide input into the annual operational plan.<br \/>\n\tParticipate in Supply Chain Management (SCM) committees, including the Bid Specification Committee (BSC), Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC), and Bid Adjudication Committee (BAC), as required.<br \/>\n\tProvide input on risks specific to the unit\u2019s focus area.<br \/>\n\tAssess risk levels, identify mitigation strategies, and propose corrective actions.<br \/>\n\tMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the research dissemination plan and implement improvements based on feedback.<br \/>\n\tManage the dissemination of research outcomes.<br \/>\n\tCompile and report on research dissemination activities.<br \/>\n\tDrive continuous engagement with Regional Tripartite Forums (RTFs).<br \/>\n\tAssess the implications of significant research outputs and ensure findings are appropriately packaged for transfer to tripartite stakeholders, professional associations, and mine operators.<br \/>\n\tSupport the effective distribution of research outcomes to identified target groups.<br \/>\n\tMonitor and report on expenditure against the allocated budget.<br \/>\n\tEnsure personal development plans are implemented and achieved.<br \/>\n\tStay abreast of the latest Mine Health and Safety (MHS) developments in the industry.<br \/>\n\tAttend at least one MHS conference annually.<br \/>\n\tParticipate in relevant professional association events, workshops, and seminars.<br \/>\n\tEnsure appropriate allocation of workload and that deliverables, targets, and performance measures are clearly defined and agreed with staff.<br \/>\n\tTake appropriate remedial action to address staff performance gaps and improve performance levels.<br \/>\n\tConduct regular one-on-one engagements with staff to review progress and provide guidance.<br \/>\n\tEnsure formal performance reviews are conducted in accordance with the Performance Management Policy.<br \/>\n\tEnsure comprehensive and relevant staff development plans are in place.<br \/>\n\tProvide staff with the necessary responsibility, resources, authority, information, and development to perform effectively.<br \/>\n\tEstablish clear principles and operating guidelines to guide behaviour and support effective decision-making among direct reports.<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"Mine Health and Safety Council (MHSC)","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"Mine Health and Safety Council (MHSC) oversees research in OHS based on the sector performance as well as current and future needs.
