Your Mission<\/p>\n
\tDirecting and supervising a shift-based operational team within the recovery plant.
\n\tActively participating in operational and governance forums such as Gatekeeping and SHEQ meetings to ensure effective communication and alignment.
\n\tRecommending maintenance activities, upgrades, or equipment replacements to improve plant performance and reliability.
\n\tPlanning and coordinating daily operations to ensure efficient utilisation of raw materials, energy, and manpower.
\n\tManaging and controlling production activities, including start-ups, shutdowns, operational checks, logging, and data trending to maintain product quality and plant reliability.
\n\tAssessing and responding to abnormal plant conditions to ensure stability and smooth operations.
\n\tEvaluating employee performance against role requirements and providing regular coaching and mentorship.
\n\tFacilitating on-the-job training as well as coordinating external training opportunities where required.
\n\tContinuously reviewing and adjusting employee roles and responsibilities to align with operational needs.
\n\tMonitoring, guiding, and evaluating team performance against objectives and standards of conduct to maximise output.
\n\tApplying and enforcing all SHEQ requirements within the section.
\n\tMonitoring performance against SHEQ standards and addressing deviations promptly.
\n\tInvestigating safety and environmental incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
\n\tEnsuring excellent housekeeping standards are consistently maintained.
\n\tOverseeing the completion of Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) observations in line with mill targets.
\n\tControlling and monitoring adherence to approved budgets, including fixed costs, renewals, overtime, and manpower expenditure.
\n\tMaintaining effective communication with internal and external customers and suppliers.
\n\tResponding promptly to customer feedback and implementing corrective actions when required.<\/p>\n
Your profile<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12) essential.
\n\tN4 in Supervisory Management or equivalent leadership.
\n\tNational Diploma in Pulp and Paper, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant Trade Test.
\n\tBTech in Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering will be advantageous.
\n\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in recovery and evaporator operations within a manufacturing environment.
\n\t1\u20132 years\u2019 experience in a supervisory or acting supervisory role will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
