\tA large-scale wildlife and hospitality operation situated in Rustenburg offers an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and hands-on Game Lodge and Wildlife Farm Manager.
\n\tThe operation spans approximately 5000 hectares and includes wildlife management, hunting activities, lodge accommodation, and meat processing facilities, servicing both local and international clients.
\n\tThe successful candidate will take full operational responsibility for this dynamic environment, ensuring efficient, sustainable, and high-quality management across all business areas.<\/p>\n
Job Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tThe Game Lodge and Wildlife Farm Manager is responsible for the overall management, operation, and development of the game lodge and wildlife farm.
\n\tThis includes wildlife management, lodge operations, guest services, hunting party coordination, infrastructure maintenance, project management of lodge developments, and supervision of farm staff and contractors.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS
\nMinimum education (essential):<\/p>\n
\tNational Senior Certificate
\n\tRelevant qualification in Game Farm Management, Wildlife Management, Agriculture, Hospitality Management, Project Management, or related field (advantageous)<\/p>\n
\u00a0Minimum applicable experience (years):<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5\u201310 years\u2019 experience in game farm management, lodge management, or similar environment<\/p>\n
Required nature of experience:<\/p>\n
\tGame farm and wildlife management
\n\tHunting operations and client coordination
\n\tLodge or hospitality management
\n\tMeat processing and handling operations
\n\tInfrastructure, mechanical, and construction management<\/p>\n

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND OBJECTIVES
\nWildlife and Farm Management<\/p>\n
\tOversee the daily management of the wildlife farm and game reserve.
\n\tImplement and monitor wildlife management plans, including breeding, feeding, habitat management, and population control.
\n\tSupervise game counts, animal health monitoring, disease prevention, and veterinary coordination.
\n\tManage hunting activities in compliance with legal, ethical, and conservation standards.
\n\tCoordinate permits, licenses, and compliance requirements related to hunting and wildlife.
\n\tMonitor anti-poaching measures and farm security.
\n\tSupervise veld management, water supply systems, and grazing conditions.
\n\tEnsure proper maintenance and functionality of roads, fences, gates, boreholes, dams, and water points.<\/p>\n
Lodge Operations and Guest Experience<\/p>\n
\tManage the day-to-day operations of the game lodge and visitor facilities.
\n\tEnsure exceptional guest service and hospitality standards for all visitors, including local and international guests.
\n\tCoordinate bookings, arrivals, departures, and guest activities.
\n\tOversee hunting parties, safari groups, and visitor excursions.
\n\tEnsure guests\u2019 safety and satisfaction throughout their stay.
\n\tManage lodge staff including housekeeping, grounds staff, guides, and hospitality personnel.
\n\tHandle guest complaints and resolve operational issues promptly.<\/p>\n
Project Management and Lodge Development<\/p>\n
\tOversee all lodge development and expansion projects, including renovations and new building activities.
\n\tCoordinate contractors, builders, suppliers, and service providers.
\n\tMonitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
\n\tEnsure compliance with building regulations, environmental requirements, and safety standards.
\n\tAssist in planning future infrastructure improvements and lodge enhancements.<\/p>\n
Infrastructure Maintenance and Asset Management<\/p>\n
\tSupervise maintenance of all buildings, roads, fencing, electrical systems, plumbing, and farm equipment.
\n\tEnsure preventative maintenance schedules are implemented and followed.
\n\tOversee repairs and upgrades to farm and lodge infrastructure.
\n\tManage procurement of maintenance supplies, equipment, and materials.
\n\tMonitor vehicle, machinery, and equipment servicing.<\/p>\n
Staff Management and Administration<\/p>\n
\tLead, supervise, and motivate all farm and lodge staff.
\n\tAllocate duties and monitor staff performance.
\n\tEnsure staff discipline, training, and development.
\n\tManage staff rosters and operational planning.
\n\tControl budgets, operational costs, and purchasing.
\n\tMaintain accurate operational records and reports.
\n\tEnsure compliance with labour legislation, health and safety regulations, and company policies.<\/p>\n
