ENVIRONMENT:<\/p>\n
\tA large-scale Security Specialist seeks an experienced Senior IT Technician to fill a hands-on role where you will support and maintain a large-scale IP Surveillance environment consisting of Axis cameras and Milestone XProtect VMS.
\n\tYou will manage and execute the site maintenance programme while assisting with projects and maintaining and troubleshooting IP surveillance infrastructure. As part of the company culture, technical staff are rotated across sites approximately every two years.
\n\tThe successful incumbent will possess a strong professional presence, adaptability, and a willingness to learn with at least 2 years\u2019 experience with IP camera systems (any brand), experience with Axis cameras & Milestone XProtect will prove beneficial and have a strong understanding of installation, configuration, and maintenance.<\/p>\n
DUTIES:<\/p>\n
\tManage and execute the site maintenance programme.
\n\tWork closely with the Onsite Technician under him.
\n\tMaintain and troubleshoot IP surveillance infrastructure.
\n\tEngage with the client professionally and effectively.
\n\tAssist with and manage on-site projects.
\n\tProvide reporting and documentation.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
IP Cameras \u2013<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience with IP camera systems (any brand).
\n\tExperience with Axis cameras advantageous.
\n\tStrong understanding of installation, configuration, and maintenance.<\/p>\n
Video Management Systems \u2013<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience with any VMS.
\n\tExperience with Milestone XProtect is highly advantageous.<\/p>\n
Networking \u2013<\/p>\n
\tSolid understanding of networking principles, including fibre infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Servers & Systems \u2013<\/p>\n
\tExperience with Dell servers.
\n\tWorking knowledge of Microsoft Server and Active Directory.<\/p>\n
Software \u2013<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience with software installation and maintenance.<\/p>\n
Project & Client Management \u2013<\/p>\n
\tAbility to manage small to medium site projects.
\n\tStrong communication skills.
\n\tReport writing capability.<\/p>\n
Language Requirements \u2013<\/p>\n
\tFluent in English (written and spoken).
\n\tAfrikaans advantageous.<\/p>\n
Advantageous \u2013<\/p>\n
\tAxis and\/or Milestone Certifications (not required but beneficial).<\/p>\n
