The role works in close partnership with the Regional Managing Director (RMD) and the Africa Leadership Team (LT) to enable effective leadership, ensure operational excellence, and support the smooth day\u2011to\u2011day running of the Johannesburg office.<br \/>\n\tThe role has end\u2011to\u2011end accountability for the planning and delivery of Duke CE Africa\u2019s flagship in\u2011person events and convening platforms, ensuring a consistently high\u2011quality experience aligned to our brand and strategic priorities, working with out global leadership team.<br \/>\n\tThis role reports directly to the Regional Managing Director.<br \/>\n\tPlease note that this is a full\u2011time, office\u2011based role, based five days a week at the Campus in Bryanston.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Office Leadership &amp; Operational Excellence<\/p>\n<p>\tManage the day\u2011to\u2011day management of the Johannesburg office, ensuring a professional, well\u2011run and welcoming environment for our ~25 employees, clients and visitors.<br \/>\n\tAct as the visible owner of the office environment, providing structure, coordination and accountability across facilities, vendors and service providers.<br \/>\n\tOversee office procurement and consumables management, with appropriate tracking and cost discipline.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate facilities maintenance and manage service providers to ensure service quality and timely resolution of issues.<br \/>\n\tSupport with preparation of briefs, prompts and materials for officerelated meetings.<br \/>\n\tOwn the end\u2011to\u2011end client and visitor experience within the Johannesburg office.<br \/>\n\tEnsure consistently high service standards and professional reception aligned to Duke CE\u2019s premium brand and values.<\/p>\n<p>Leadership Enablement &amp; Strategic Support<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide operational support to the RMD and Africa Leadership Team, including complex diary coordination, liaising with senior clients on meetings, travel planning.<br \/>\n\tAct as a trusted operational partner and gatekeeper, anticipating priorities, managing competing demands, and supporting effective decision\u2011making across the leadership agenda.<br \/>\n\tDraft, review and manage professional written communication aligned with leadership tone, business context and strategic objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Strategic Events &amp; Convening Leadership Events<\/p>\n<p>\tLead the end to end delivery of Duke CE Africa\u2019s flagship convening events and platforms, such as the Women\u2019s Month \/ Women\u2019s Day platform.<br \/>\n\tPartner closely with the LT to shape event strategy, positioning, narrative and experience design, ensuring alignment with Duke CE\u2019s brand, purpose and regional priorities.<br \/>\n\tLead delivery of the Women\u2019s Day event, in collaboration with the Africa RMD and LT, and Global Leadership Team on activities such as:<br \/>\n\tExperience and journey design<br \/>\n\tSpeaker, partner and stakeholder engagement<br \/>\n\tVenue strategy, negotiation and contracting<br \/>\n\tEnd\u2011to\u2011end delivery and execution oversight<\/p>\n<p>Budget tracking<\/p>\n<p>\tServe as the primary point of accountability with venues, partners and external service providers for flagship events.<br \/>\n\tOwn the annual regional events calendar, including smaller but high\u2011impact engagements such as:<br \/>\n\tClient breakfasts and leadership forums<br \/>\n\tIn\u2011office culture and community moments<br \/>\n\tSupport the LT with Business Development events<br \/>\n\tEnsure events are delivered to a consistently high standard,<\/p>\n<p>Financial Accountability &amp; Governance<\/p>\n<p>\tCoordinate and prepare expense submissions on behalf of the RMD, and on occasion, the LT, including:<br \/>\n\tCollection of supporting documentation<br \/>\n\tAssistance with reconciliation queries<br \/>\n\tCoordination of travel\u2011related expenses, Uber trips and courier deliveries<br \/>\n\tSupport submission of routine office\u2011related expenses via Concur in line with policy requirements.<br \/>\n\tLiaise with Finance to ensure documentation is complete, accurate and submitted timeously<br \/>\n\tEnsure all expense claims prepared are coordinated for the RMD remain subject to the RMD\u2019s formal review and approval, inline with Finance oversight responsibility for policy adherence and governance.<\/p>\n<p>Onboarding &amp; Internal Support<\/p>\n<p>\tWork with Global HR and the RMD to coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for regional staff to ensure seamless Day 1 access, effective integration and compliant exits.<br \/>\n\tProvide senior administrative and operational support to internal teams, resolving requests with efficiency, judgement and professionalism.<br \/>\n\tSupport accreditation and compliance administration (e.g. LIMS capture and moderation documentation) where required.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<br \/>\nSkills &amp;
