\tA relevant B Degree
\n\tMinimum of 5 – 8 years\u2019 relevant experience as per KPA\u2019s below
\n\tExposure in a waste management related field(advantageous)
\n\tProven ability to conduct research and data analysis
\n\tAppropriate Supervisory experience
\n\tExcellent written and verbal skills
\n\tComputer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, SAP)
\n\tValid Driver\u2019s License (Code B)<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
\tManaging research and development of specialised technical and strategic support with respect to Urban Waste Management aspects by engineering, designing of systems, procedures, criteria for new developments.
\n\tEvaluate existing, design new and continuously assess Systems & Procedures across the spectrum of Urban Waste Management.
\n\tEvaluate existing, design new systems and procedures across Urban Waste Management and provide input to the IWM Policy and By-law.
\n\tResearch and define best practices and benchmarking to ensure uniform applications and integration of systems and procedures amongst services. Provide input into the development of the Directorate Sector and Business plans.
\n\tAnalyse status quo versus available technology to inform future resource requirements.
\n\tIntegrate research and development, business reengineering,systems, policies, strategies, by-laws, new technologies and innovation in all future demand planning and development.
\n\tEvaluate and interpret waste information to assess performance and trends and building information\/\u00a0knowledge capabilities within the departments to measure performance\/outputs and guide long-term developments.
\n\tEngage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at executive and senior managers
\n\tNetwork and build effective relationships and partnerships within and\u00a0across the organization.<\/p>\n
