(NQF Level 7)<\/p>\n<p>EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<p>\t10 years\u2019 relevant work experience in a Conformity Assessment environment (product testing, certification [product and systems], and inspections) within a SANS 17020, SANS 17065, and SANS 9001 operations environment. (Operational Level)<br \/>\n\t3 years\u2019 management experience. (Managerial Level)<\/p>\n<p>Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nOperational Management<\/p>\n<p>\tContribute towards development of strategy for Division and ensure alignment of this strategy with plan for security business unit overall.<br \/>\n\tEnsure productivity measured effectively against set objectives.<br \/>\n\tManage and ensure drive of continuous improvement activities.<br \/>\n\tManage business unit and ensure it contributes to achievement of business objectives.<br \/>\n\tEstablish and maintain standardised systems, processes, and tools to support consistent auditor management and performance oversight.<br \/>\n\tAnalyse trends in auditor performance, audit outcomes, and client feedback to identify improvement opportunities.<br \/>\n\tAddress escalated performance, conduct, or compliance issues in collaboration with supervisors.<br \/>\n\tManage operations effectively to deliver services within timelines and prescribed quality through effective resource management.<br \/>\n\tUse insights gained through business information to compile reports and metrics to measure success and inform business decisions within area of responsibility.<br \/>\n\tEnsure optimal deployment, utilisation, and capacity planning of auditors in alignment with operational and strategic requirements.<br \/>\n\tOversee performance, conduct, and effectiveness of both permanent and contracted auditors through supervisory structures.<br \/>\n\tPut measures in place to improve productivity.<\/p>\n<p>Functional Management<\/p>\n<p>\tManage audit activities and ensure stakeholders receive updates. Identify challenges relevant to specific auditors and provide remedial action as required.<br \/>\n\tDevelop training need (plan) for permanent auditor pool in conjunction with HC division and monitor implementation of training plan in liaison with HC department.<br \/>\n\tEnsure technical support provided by auditors as and when required by other departments, e.g. to conduct technical reviews across division.<br \/>\n\tReview, assess and optimise auditor utilisation.<br \/>\n\tIdentify appropriate audit methodologies available including use of technology.<br \/>\n\tReview results of preliminary survey to understand area to be audited and provide approval for audit programme and approach.<br \/>\n\tFormulate auditor reviews based on outcomes of monitoring using appropriate audit methodologies and technologies.<br \/>\n\tPlan audit scope, coverage and work schedules as required by audit program.<br \/>\n\tReview all field work findings reports and complete and submit monthly and quarterly plans and audit finding reports within sphere of control.<br \/>\n\tMonitor implementation and adherence to audit.<br \/>\n\tUpdate and review audit manuals to guide internal audit division operations.<br \/>\n\tEnsure maintenance of accreditation requirements of relevant certification activities and adhere to and implement policies, procedures and relevant IAF and other guidelines as required.<br \/>\n\tAnalyse auditor performance and trends and ensure adherence to timelines and protocols.<br \/>\n\tFacilitate review of Candidate Auditors for registration.<br \/>\n\tOversee compilation of auditor peer reviews and ensure review and analysis of outcomes as required.<br \/>\n\tAct as senior management representative at regional office (Cape Town) for SABS, providing on-site leadership and coordination.<br \/>\n\tServe as primary point of contact for facilities-related matters, including liaising with Facilities Management, contractors, and service providers.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate site-related activities such as contractor access, security, cleaning, pest control, recycling, and office readiness.<br \/>\n\tAddress ad hoc staff and site issues impacting regional office, even where staff do not report directly to role.<br \/>\n\tRepresent management in client or stakeholder engagements conducted at regional office when required.<br \/>\n\tSupport site governance, safety communication, and operational continuity in absence of dedicated regional or facilities manager.<\/p>\n<p>Risk &amp; Compliance Management<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure risk mitigation through governance, fraud controls, and compliance systems.<br \/>\n\tMaintain quality risk management aligned with accreditation and ISO standards.<br \/>\n\tSupport internal\/external audits and regulatory compliance.<br \/>\n\tEnsure adherence to policies and SLAs.<br \/>\n\tMonitor regulatory changes and implement controls.<\/p>\n<p>Financial Management<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide input in planning and compilation of annual budget aligned to strategic delivery plans to support implementation of set objectives.<br \/>\n\tEnsure effective implementation, management, monitoring of budget, and mitigate and report on any variances.<br \/>\n\tEnsure deployment of proper financial controls to manage budget.<br \/>\n\tManage and approve regional based travel in line with operational and financial controls.<\/p>\n<p>People Management<\/p>\n<p>\tProactively manage all direct reports in order to ensure strategic objective for division met.<br \/>\n\tMaintain excellent human capital performance through employee empowerment, skills development and retention and succession planning within team.<br \/>\n\tMaintain environment where employees respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all processes, procedures and practices.<br \/>\n\tManage and lead auditors by providing clarity of vision; prioritising resources; facilitating alignment of team; managing non-performance, driving customer-centric performance culture, setting appropriate KPAs and ensure cascading thereof throughout unit and driving achievement;
