The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. Their expertise in understanding business workflows and translating them into functional specifications, user stories and requirements artefacts will be essential in driving successful software development and technology implementation projects. The role is pivotal in optimizing business operations and ensuring that technological solutions meet the needs of both internal teams and customers.<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:<\/p>\n
\tContributing to and driving continuous process improvement initiatives to meet business needs.
\n\tWorking closely with multiple stakeholders to gather, analyze and define current business processes and requirements including, but not limited to:
\n\tRequirements Gathering: Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to identify business needs and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements.
\n\tSystem Analysis & Design: Analyze existing IT systems, data structures, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvements, automation, or efficiency gains.
\n\tDocumentation: Create detailed documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and process flowcharts (UML, BPMN).
\n\tStakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure project alignment.
\n\tTesting, Training & Implementation: Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), define test cases, and support the implementation of new systems through training and \u201cgo-live\u201d initiatives.
\n\tProject Coordination: Support project managers by defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
\n\tSupporting the Project Manager in delivering the project plan on time and on budget.
\n\tEnsuring requirements issues are tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner.
\n\tFacilitate communication with internal colleagues and stakeholders as to how to better the service offering.
\n\tRegularly audit the quality assurance practise and contribute towards constant improvement in this capability.
\n\tCreate healthy relationships with business partners, and work in tandem with them to boost integration
\n\tFrequently identify the common sources of technical problems and provide solutions to rectify these issues.
\n\tAssist the internal team with implementing recommended product changes.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\tNQF Level 6 (Minimum 360 credits on level 8 framework) in IT, Business Development, Business Analytics or related field.
\n\tTechnical Skills: Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), data analysis using SQL, Excel, and tools like Microsoft Visio, Jira\/ADO, or Confluence.
\n\tAnalytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse complex data and business processes.
\n\tSoft Skills: Excellent communication (written\/verbal), interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Strong experience when it comes to both analytical thinking and problem-solving.
\n\tExcellent time management and organisational skills.
\n\tExcellent Analytical and Technical skills that are focused on a Quality and Delivery mindset.\u00a0<\/p>\n
