The incumbent will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and ensure the optimal functioning and execution of TuksSport coaching philosophy as it relates to TuksBasketball,
\n\tDevelop and implement a comprehensive coaching strategy that is aligned with the club\u2019s, team’s, and\/or individual\u2019s performance plans, goals, and objectives,
\n\tCreate and execute effective TuksBasketball training programmes to enhance the athletes\u2019 performance, including but not limited to developing technical and tactical skills,
\n\tDesign and coordinate the implementation of coaching best practices and protocols as agreed upon with the club manager and other technical personnel within TuksBasketball, for the individuals within the teams based on their specific needs,
\n\tTalent identification and recruitment of student-athletes for TuksBasketball,
\n\tImplement and engage in fundraising initiatives for the TuksBasketball club and contribute to all TuksBasketball club-hosted events,
\n\tCoaching of both first- and second-women\u2019s teams.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in sport or exercise science or sport management or related field,
\n\t\u00a0A minimum of 2 years\u2019 experience in the following areas:
\n\t\u00a0Basketball coaching at a tertiary or provincial level,
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
OR<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in the following areas:
\n\t\u00a0Basketball coaching at a tertiary or provincial level
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tCriminal record certificate;
\n\tSexual offenders clearance certificate;
\n\tChild offender clearance certificate.<\/p>\n
