Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tTo plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the inventory team, providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development.\u00a0
\n\tResponsibility for maintaining and managing inventory integrity. Responsibility for managing and minimising DHL’s contractual stock loss liabilities.<\/p>\n
Key areas of responsibility include:<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0Ensure accurate control of inventory up to and beyond the KPI levels expected by the customer and DHL
\n\tPlan and manage all stock counts and audits of inventory
\n\tManage and motivate inventory team – ensure adequate inventory team cover available across all operational shifts
\n\tPut in place procedures to monitor and minimise stock losses
\n\tDevelop & maintain effective inventory process, incorporating warehouse management systems
\n\tMonitor all stock movements within warehouse and ensure report on issues\u00a0
\n\tConstant communication with operational team
\n\tTrain team members to ensure that inventory control procedures are fully implemented
\n\tImplement procedures to maintain cycle counting and perpetual inventory
\n\tUnderstand DHL’s stock loss contractual liability and ensure any potential risk is effectively mitigated
\n\tProduce timely and accurate management information & reports as required
\n\tManage and motivate inventory team – ensure adequate inventory team cover available across all operational shifts
\n\tControl of team budgeted hours and costs
\n\tCreate and publish Standard Operating Procedures
\n\tAttend customer meetings as required
\n\tContribute to site continuous improvement agenda
\n\tSubmitting monthly inventory information accurately and timeously to meet deadlines
\n\tManagement of damages and stock losses within warehouse
\n\tControl of all inventory related matters within parameters of location
\n\tRecruitment and handling of Industrial Relations in line with HR policy as well as scheduling of inventory team
\n\tTo ensure stock that is damaged or due to expire is removed from the cages \/ orders
\n\tConform and promote awareness to staff on ISO 9001, ISO 22716, ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements associated with the QMS.<\/p>\n

Skills\/Experience<\/p>\n
\tExperience of working within budgetary constraints
\n\tFully computer literate (MS Office Advanced)
\n\tExcellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
\n\tAbility to co-ordinate all staff and assets in warehouse department\u00a0
\n\tPerson should know what products are handled by the Company
\n\tPerson should be able to enforce health and safety procedures and identify hazards
\n\tknowledge of clients requirements and customer needs
\n\t3-5 years experience of working in inventory environment
\n\tKnowledge of logistics market trends, opportunities and challenges
\n\tCommercial breadth, i.e. general management experience
\n\tStrategic tools\/techniques approaches and strategy determination<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0Matric \/ Grade 12
\n\t\u00a0Diploma in Inventory Management
\n\t\u00a0<\/p>\n
