What will you do?<\/p>\n
Strategy development and business planning:<\/p>\n
\tWork with Area Manager and translate the Provincial strategy into a Branch strategy, specifying targets, objectives and metrics.
\n\tContribute insights to monthly, quarterly and annual business planning for Branches in the Region \/ Province.\u00a0
\n\tResponsible for managing operational costs in line with the allocated budget.<\/p>\n
Sales and operational effectiveness:<\/p>\n
\tCommunicate the Branch Strategy, sales targets and metrics to Sales teams. Identify Key Result Areas and work with Sales Managers to develop and agree team targets.
\n\tWork with Business Owners of supporting functions, and put the right mechanisms in place (systems, processes, technology) to ensure the branch is able to deliver a service and achieve targets.\u00a0
\n\tIdentify and escalate areas of improvement regarding support systems, processes, and technologies. Where possible, solve problems or propose solutions to prevent issues from reoccurring.
\n\tManage the capacity and daily activities of the branch, in line with targets and objectives to ensure growth in customers and profits.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure any changes relating to systems, processes, regulations, policies and products are proactively communicated and cascaded in the Branch.\u00a0<\/p>\n
People management:<\/p>\n
\tWork with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to put the necessary capacity \/ capability in place to achieve sales targets in the Branch.\u00a0
\n\tWork with HR to establish and maintain good people practices in the Branch.
\n\tResponsible for all operational people practices relating to direct reports, in collaboration with the Human Resource Function (talent management, performance management, individual development and growth, resolving grievances, leave allocation, capacity management, etc.).
\n\tRetain team members to ensure a consistent service delivery to customers. Provide input into the Employee Value Proposition and retention strategies<\/p>\n
Compliance, quality and risk management:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance and quality standards are effectively communicated and adopted across the Branch.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure alignment to the Treating the Customer Fairly (TCF) framework in all business practices and ensure the branch operates within the FSCA regulations.
\n\tIdentify, flag and manage risks associated with compliance, conduct and quality in the Branch in line with the compliance and risk management framework.<\/p>\n
Monthly planning and reporting:<\/p>\n
\tMonitor activities and the achievement of sales targets in the Branch. Identify areas of improvement and work with Sales Managers to address \/ rectify.
\n\tResponsible for monthly reporting of sales and team activities in the Branch. Analyse data to identify areas of improvement and plan for the next month.
\n\tConduct monthly and annual planning based on reports.<\/p>\n

Experience:<\/p>\n
\tAt least 5 years recent industry experience of which 3 years should be in management of managers.
\n\tPreference will be given to those with experience in insurance sales within the entry level market.<\/p>\n
Qualification and Experience<\/p>\n
\tDegree or Diploma with 6 to 8 years experience or 10 years related experience.<\/p>\n
