\tAccountable for category strategy development, supplier negotiation and strategy execution for all related categories to their cluster, with expectation to be involved in supporting these activities with the team
\n\tAccountable for analysis and evaluation of internal demand factors and external supply market dynamics to develop and execute the category strategy
\n\tAccountable for the Procurement performance of the categories against service and value delivery KPIs (e.g., savings targets)
\n\tEnsuring that the category team consistently performs at high standards and remains engaged<\/p>\n
Position Outputs
\nRole Overview<\/p>\n
\tOversee creation of a category purchasing strategy and review thereof for assigned spend categories
\n\tDevelop business change strategies in order to transform current operations, using new strategies and procurement operating models
\n\tDefine and implement a strategic plan for the category, working with the Executive Manager of Category and other Managers to drive through the Procurement strategy and deliver best Procurement Practices
\n\tOwn the end-to-end Procurement cycle for the category from sourcing to contract drafting
\n\tMonitor and influence all spend within the category, securing best value and maximizing economies of scale from supplier expenditure
\n\tBuild strong relationships with suppliers to effectively manage performance, to ensure the needs of the business are met and working with key internal stakeholders across the business to give the Procurement agenda credibility and visibility
\n\tManage corporate risk in relation to Procurement and supplier activity, identifying supplier risk areas, quantifying risk exposure and executing risk mitigation actions<\/p>\n
Research \/ Analysis<\/p>\n
\tMonitor performance; comparison of actual versus expected against SLAs\/KPIs, collaborating with end users and other teams
\n\tResearch and analyse the supply market and supplier capabilities to provide the category team with strategic insights
\n\tProvide analytical support for new targets and expectations<\/p>\n
Category Management Support<\/p>\n
\tEnsure alignment with ODs performance expectations
\n\tMonitor adherence to established contracts and realisation of savings, collaborating with other contract management and SRM teams as required
\n\tSupport Executive Manager of Category in driving internal change management<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tQualifications, Experience & Inherent Job Requirements \u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent in the relevant field \u00a0MBA or related postgraduate qualification advantageous \u00a06-10 years of relevant experience in large enterprise 3-5 years of experience at middle management role \u00a0Hands-on line management experience of Procurement teams and associated processes \u00a0PFMA, PPPFA and public sector Procurement experience MCIPS certification and CIPS membership will be Advantageous Standard Job Requirements Driver\u2019s license code 08 Travel as required and approved<\/p>\n
