Description<\/p>\n
\tConduct safety related audits;
\n\tIdentify latent hazards and carry out risk management analyses of those hazards;
\n\tInvestigate, analyse and identify root cause of all hazards of incidents and accidents;
\n\tEnsure the operator has adequate mitigation in place for identified safety risks;
\n\tMaintain the internal safety data system, to monitor and analyse trends in hazards, incidents and accidents;
\n\tEnsure continuous monitoring system that evaluates the results of corrective actions with respect to hazards, incidents and accidents;
\n\tMonitor the concerns of the civil aviation industry in respect of safety and their perceived effect on FlySafair;
\n\tCoordinate the organisation’s aviation safety programme and all related safety matters;
\n\tCooperate with the training department with regards to safety training of employees as and when required;
\n\tInvestigate all incidents and accidents involving the organisation’s assets;
\n\tAction and distribute all accident, incident and other safety reports;
\n\tCollaborate with the security personnel to ensure all aspects of the security programme is implemented;
\n\tIn collaboration with the Quality Assurance department, monitor and track aircraft component reliability and service provider audit\/s;
\n\tSupport the organisational emergency response plan;
\n\tSupport the Quality Assurance Manager with compliance related audits;
\n\tPromulgate safety bulletins to all staff within the organisation;
\n\tSupport safety awareness based on safety issues identified through the safety system;
\n\tConduct meetings with all relevant personnel regarding safety matters;
\n\tEnsure that the safety equipment is in an operable state;
\n\tConduct safety risk audits;
\n\tParticipate in both Authority (CAA) and external audits;
\n\tAssist the OSHE Officer in the administration of the OHSE programme;
\n\tCollaborate and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders (Internal and External);
\n\tSupervise external stakeholders with all matters relating to safety in and around Assets.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
\n\tMinimum of 5 years’ experience involved in the management of an Aviation Safety programme (Essential);
\n\tAircraft Maintenance Engineer License (Current\/Expired) (Essential);
\n\tHuman Factors in Aviation (Essential);
\n\tTrain the Trainer (Essential);
\n\tAviation Auditor (Essential);
\n\tSafety Management Systems for Aviation (Essential);\u00a0
\n\tRelevant Diploma\/Degree (NQF Level 6\/7) (Advantageous);
\n\tLead Auditor (Advantageous);
\n\tAccident and Incident Investigation (Preferred);
\n\tFully Computer Literate (MS Office);<\/p>\n
