\tPSIRA registered (Grade C) advantageous\u00a0
\n\tProven ability to work under pressure and show attention to detail<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
\n\tMinimum 1 years experience as a Wireman
\n\tPractical electrical\/electronic knowledge advantageous<\/p>\n
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tTo assist the Installations Technician with installing of cabling of an alarm system, drilling and be able to connect detectors and the panel. Be able to power-up and walk-test the system. A Technical Assistant at this level is suitably qualified and experienced (to the Company\u2019s standards) to install the cabling of an alarm system as well as Intercom, CCTV & Access Control systems, do drilling on his own, connect detectors and the alarm control panel and also to power-up and walk-test the alarm system without the help of a technician present.<\/p>\n
DUTIES<\/p>\n
\tAssist technician with installations of alarm and security equipment
\n\tAssist technician by removing old equipment from clients premises
\n\tAssist by running new cables, applying glue, drill holes, mount detectors, panels, contacts, lights, etc
\n\tInform technician of any shortfalls or limitations of the equipment and tools
\n\tInform technician of cabling required for an installation
\n\tAssist technician with user functions and be able to do a handover
\n\tClean vehicles and premises after an installation
\n\t\u00a0<\/p>\n
