A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead financial strategy, governance, and performance across a multi-entity group environment.
\n\tThis is a senior leadership role suited to a commercially astute finance professional who can drive financial excellence, manage risk, and support strategic business decision-making.<\/p>\n
Purpose<\/p>\n
\tYou will be responsible for overseeing the full finance function across the group, ensuring strong financial performance, compliance, and governance while supporting business growth and strategy.<\/p>\n
Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Financial Strategy & Performance<\/p>\n
\tLeading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
\n\tReviewing and interpreting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results
\n\tMonitoring financial performance and identifying cost optimisation opportunities
\n\tProviding strategic financial insights to support business decision-making<\/p>\n
Treasury & Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tManaging treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity
\n\tDeveloping and maintaining currency hedging and risk management strategies
\n\tMonitoring financial risks and ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place<\/p>\n
Reporting, Compliance & Governance<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring accurate and timely financial reporting across all group entities
\n\tMaintaining compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies
\n\tOverseeing statutory compliance, including tax (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax)
\n\tManaging audit processes and maintaining relationships with external auditors
\n\tEnsuring compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements<\/p>\n
Financial Controls & Operations<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring strong internal controls across all finance processes
\n\tOverseeing accounts payable, receivable, and credit control functions
\n\tMonitoring revenue and expense recognition and financial accuracy
\n\tManaging general ledger processes and financial reconciliations<\/p>\n
Group Finance & Commercial Support<\/p>\n
\tManaging transfer pricing policies and group tax structures
\n\tOverseeing R&D incentives and financial optimisation initiatives
\n\tManaging group insurance policies and financial risk exposure
\n\tSupporting commercial decision-making across business units
\n\tLiaising with stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to resolve financial matters<\/p>\n
Leadership & Team Development<\/p>\n
\tLeading, mentoring, and developing the finance team
\n\tDriving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
\n\tBuilding capability within the finance function to support business growth<\/p>\n
What we want?
\nKey requirements:<\/p>\n
\tCA(SA), CIMA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification
\n\tMinimum 10 years’ experience in a senior finance or leadership role
\n\tStrong experience in group finance, reporting, and multi-entity environments at a global level
\n\tProven experience in financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting
\n\tStrong knowledge of IFRS, tax, and financial governance<\/p>\n
Experience with:<\/p>\n
\tTreasury and cash flow management
\n\tAudit and compliance processes
\n\tFinancial systems (e.g. Syspro or similar ERP systems)
\n\tAdvanced MS Office skills
\n\tStrong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking ability<\/p>\n
