Description<\/p>\n
\tRequired to perform various maintenance duties including, but not limited to:
\n\tConduct line maintenance inspections;
\n\tConduct routine inspections on various avionics systems on the aircraft;
\n\tConduct fault finding and rectify based on the fault;
\n\tPerform weekly service checks;
\n\tPerform thorough daily inspections of the aircraft to identify any potential issues or defects;
\n\tConduct necessary maintenance tasks to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft;
\n\tAdhere to established maintenance procedures and safety standards;
\n\tAll activities must be properly recorded and signed off as per SACAA requirements ensuring that all the required legal aspects are complied with;
\n\tHealth and Safety requirements must always be complied with to ensure Personal and other;
\n\tPersonnel Safety, Fire and Accident\/lncident preventions;
\n\tEnsure that the work area, equipment, and tooling are properly maintained and safe prior to starting any job to prevent accidents or incidents to aircraft and staff;
\n\tApply analytical thinking and troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions;
\n\tCommunicate clearly and professionally to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of maintenance tasks.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
\n\tTrade Test Certificate (Avionics-related, e.g., Avionician, Aircraft Instrument Mechanic, Aircraft Electrician, or Aircraft Radio Technician \u2014 SACAA recognised) (Essential);
\n\tLicensed AME with SACAA WI, W2, W3 (Essential);
\n\tB737 -800 system course (Essential);
\n\tB737-8 (MAX) system course (Advantageous);
\n\tOxygen course (Advantageous);
\n\tCompass swing (Advantageous);
\n\tMinimum of 3 years aviation maintenance experience (Essential);
\n\tPrevious experience as an Aviation Technician on B737-800 avionics systems (Essential);
\n\tPrevious experience as an Aviation Technician on B737-8 (MAX) avionics systems (Advantageous);
\n\tPrevious Line Maintenance experience (Advantageous);
\n\tOJT experience (Advantageous);
\n\tMust be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, including overtime when required;
\n\tMust be available and willing to travel locally\/internationally at short notice;
\n\tValid South-African passport and driver’s licence;
\n\tSound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation;
\n\tProficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint).<\/p>\n
