\tThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, education \/ training and experience required for this position:
\n\tMatric, Grade 12 or equivalent qualification with 4 years LMI Experience
\n\tRegistered as: Lifting Machinery inspector in terms of the Engineering Profession Act,2000 Act no 46of 2000.
\n\tQualified Diesel and\/or Petrol Mechanic, plus experience with forklifts or similar material handling equipment; or Qualified Forklift Mechanic; or Qualified Auto Electrician with mechanical experience and abilities.
\n\tQualified forklift technician, plus experience of minimum of 5 years with forklift or similar material handling equipment; or qualified Forklift Mechanic
\n\tGeneral working knowledge of auto electrical system (ignition, starting, charging, illumination)<\/p>\n

\tTo perform this job successfully, the appointed individual must be able to perform each essential duty \/ key performance area satisfactorily.

\n\tPerform accurate diagnosis \/ troubleshooting in event of breakdown of equipment; communicate what repairs are needed by advising customer and\/or supervisor.
\n\tMaintains vehicle maintenance and operational data \/ history by updating and timeously communication information that must go on record.
\n\tProvide complete customer satisfaction in a polite and professional manner.
\n\tEnsure proper communication between self, workshop staff (supervisor and controller).
\n\tEnsure OHSACT & ASEC requirements are met in all actions on company & customers premises; maintains a safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety device operations, following standards and procedures and in general complying with legal regulation.
\n\tUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
\n\tMust be willing to travel to remote areas.
