Job Description<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Stores Controller. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our inventory management, including receiving shipments, storing products, and ensuring accurate inventory levels.
\n\tThis individual will also be responsible for tracking and reporting on inventory movements, conducting regular stock audits, and coordinating with various departments to fulfil orders on time. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Stock Control:<\/p>\n
\tControlling all stock entering and exiting the stores.
\n\tPicking of stock.
\n\tChecking stock levels daily and ordering stock as needed.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain pest control inventory.
\n\tConduct regular cycle counts.
\n\tEnsure proper storage of stock at all times.<\/p>\n
Deliveries<\/p>\n
\tSigning all invoices on the Invoice Control registers and ensuring that it is listed on the trip sheet for the following day.
\n\tEnsure that all clients receive the expected stock.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure timeous delivery.\u00a0
\n\tEvery morning during the service meeting, you have to take all your deliveries for that day, to make sure every client receives their stock when they expect to.
\n\tLiaising with the necessary stakeholders if urgent deliveries are required.
\n\tAssisting with deliveries from time to time.<\/p>\n
Suppliers<\/p>\n
\tLiaising with suppliers to ensure timeous delivery.
\n\tCheck every invoice thoroughly and sign to confirm that correct stock was received.
\n\tPacking and labelling all incoming stock as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
Couriers<\/p>\n
\tArranging couriers in cooperation with Creditors
\n\tChecking whether the correct amount of boxes\/parcels are delivered.
\n\tCounting physical stock in comparison with supplier invoice. Contact suppliers should any discrepancies be found.<\/p>\n
Transfers between branches:<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring that transfers between branches are documented accurately.
\n\tEnsuring that the driver checks the stock transferred between branches.<\/p>\n
Medical Waste<\/p>\n
\tArranging medical waste collection as needed (usually every 14 days).
\n\tEnsuring that the necessary documentation accompanies pharmaceutical waste.
\n\tRecordkeeping of all medical waste loaded.<\/p>\n
Maintenance & housekeeping:<\/p>\n
\tInspecting vehicles and trailers daily.
\n\tInspecting toolboxes monthly.
\n\tInspecting other equipment weekly.
\n\tMaintaining a clean, organised, and safe store environment at all times.
\n\tEnsuring that stock is stored according to company procedures and health and safety standards, preventing damage, contamination, or loss of inventory.
\n\tIdentifying maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or housekeeping concerns and reporting to management immediately for corrective action.
\n\tEnsuring that the store area reflects a professional, hygienic, and compliant working environment in accordance with company policies, operational requirements, and applicable health and safety regulations.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tMatric certificate or equivalent; additional certification in supply chain management or related field is a plus.
\n\tMinimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, preferably in the hygiene and cleaning chemical distribution industry
\n\tProficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
\n\tStrong organizational and time-management skills
\n\tAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
\n\tExcellent communication and problem-solving skills
\n\tKnowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting
\n\tForklift certification is a plus<\/p>\n
