JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tThe core purpose of the role is to ensure the effective picking of goods from the picking list against customer orders and packing of goods onto shelves according to company standards.<\/p>\n

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
PICKING<\/p>\n
\tEnsure accurate picking of stock according to picking slip.
\n\tVerify that correct stock was picked.
\n\tEnsure accurate completion of picking slips.
\n\tIndicate name, date, weights, dimensions, and signatures on all picking slips, as required.
\n\tIndicate and communicate any anomalies on the picking slip.
\n\tIndicate and communicate any product quantity and colour differences on the picking slip.<\/p>\n
PACKING<\/p>\n
\tEnsure accurate packing of stock into correct areas\/bin locations.
\n\tEnsure effective wrapping of the product according to company procedures, to ensure protection of the product.
\n\tEnsure correct stock is submitted to dispatch area.
\n\tPrepare products for shipment or delivery.
\n\tPack and load products onto vehicles according to company specifications.<\/p>\n
WAREHOUSE ASSISTANCE<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all stock is correctly and neatly located, binned, and maintaining a tidy display of the products.
\n\tEnsure adherence to stacking and storage requirements at all times.
\n\tPerform the loading and unloading of products from vehicles and containers.
\n\tAssist with the receiving of stock as required.
\n\tAccompany drivers on deliveries to provide assistance with offloading or loading products at customer sites.
\n\tConduct stock counts.
\n\tPerform regular cleaning tasks to maintain a clean, tidy, and sanitary warehouse environment.
\n\tsweeping floors.
\n\tdusting surfaces.
\n\tremoving debris.
\n\tAssist in another position if there is an operational constraint.
\n\tAssist with driving responsibilities, including driving a company vehicle, if hold a valid driver\u2019s license.
\n\tComply with all traffic laws and follow safe driving practices while operating a company vehicle.
\n\tLoading and unloading deliveries.
\n\tMaintain accurate records of deliveries and ensure all relevant paperwork is signed and returned.
\n\tProvide excellent customer service.<\/p>\n
SHEQ INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tEnsure adherence to the OHS Act.
\n\tTake reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves of other persons.
\n\tCo-operate with the employer to enable prescribed duties or requirements to be complied with.
\n\tCarry out any lawful order given and obey the health and safety rules and procedures.
\n\tReport any unsafe or unhealthy situation to the employer.
\n\tReport any incident to the employer.
\n\tComply with health and safety processes.
\n\tEnsure the warehouse maintains and complies with standards of health and safety, and hygiene always.
\n\tAlways maintain high standards of housekeeping.
\n\tEnsure PPE is always worn in the warehouse.
\n\tParticipate in any Integrated Management System activities as required.
\n\tIdentify and report opportunities for improvement, Non-Conformances, and Incidents in area of responsibility.
\n\tEnsure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
\n\tAlways maintain a high level of customer service levels standards.<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nKEY JOB REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or equivalent.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\t1 years\u2019 experience in a similar position.<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tAbility to do basic numerical calculations.
\n\tA thorough practical knowledge of best practises warehouse operations processes.
\n\tAwareness and understanding of the ISO Standard requirements relevant to the position.<\/p>\n
SKILL REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tThe ability to carefully and accurately pick and pack items, ensuring correct quantities, product quality, and proper packaging.
\n\tThe capability to prioritize tasks, work under deadlines, and meet productivity targets while maintaining accuracy.<\/p>\n
