Main Purpose of the Job:<\/p>\n
\tThe Designate Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Management Team of the store and learning the operational and leadership aspects of running a Checkers store. This position is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage store operations successfully and foster a stellar customer experience.<\/p>\n
Job Objectives:<\/p>\n
\tLearn and apply the principles of effective store management.
\n\tAssist in driving sales and profitability while upholding the highest standards of customer service
\n\tContribute to the recruitment, training and development of team members.
\n\tSupport operation initiatives in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
\n\tParticipate in inventory management and merchandising strategies to optimize sales.<\/p>\n
Task Information:<\/p>\n
\tTraining and Development \u2013 Engage in a structured training program to learn all aspects of store operations, team management and customer engagement.
\n\tOperational Support \u2013 Learn how to assist in managing daily store functions, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling and stock management.
\n\tCustomer Relations \u2013 Learn how to help ensure customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints efficiently.
\n\tSales Monitoring \u2013 Learn how to participate in analysing sales reports and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
\n\tVisual Merchandising – Learn how to support the maintenance of appealing product displays aligned with company standards.
\n\tRegulatory Compliance – Learn how to adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe shopping environment.<\/p>\n
Qualifications\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12\/Matric
\n\tA diploma\/degree in Business Management, Retail Management or related field is advantageous.
\n\tRelevant experience can substitute for formal qualifications<\/p>\n
Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tPrevious experience in retail of customer service roles is preferred.
\n\tDemonstrated interest in pursuing a career in retail management is essential.<\/p>\n
