Bilnor Staffing Solution’s client in the mining sector is seeking an experienced DIESEL MECHANIC (HEAD MECHANIC) to join their team in Postmasburg, NC.

Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tTrade Tested Diesel Mechanic qualification
\n\tMinimum 5\u20138 years\u2019 experience working on heavy mining or earthmoving equipment
\n\tPrevious supervisory or team leader experience
\n\tStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
\n\tExperience on equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, Bell, Hitachi, Volvo, or similar
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
Key Responsabilities:<\/p>\n
\tSupervising and leading a team of diesel mechanics and assistants
\n\tDiagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy-duty diesel machinery
\n\tManaging preventative and breakdown maintenance schedules
\n\tEnsuring compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
\n\tConducting inspections and quality checks on completed repairs
\n\tCoordinating parts, tools, and maintenance requirements
\n\tProviding technical guidance and mentoring junior staff
\n\tMaintaining accurate maintenance and service records
\n\tWorking closely with site management to ensure operational efficiency<\/p>\n
Skills:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGood communication and leadership skills
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
\n\tKnowledge of health and safety standards within mining or construction environments
\n\tWillingness to work overtime or shifts when required<\/p>\n
Advantageous<\/p>\n
\tExperience in opencast mining environments
\n\tOEM training certifications
\n\tComputer literacy and maintenance reporting experience
\n\tValid medical fitness certificate for mine sites<\/p>\n
