\tA Service Technician is a highly skilled professional responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment and systems. They work across various industries, such as automotive, engineering, or computer-related fields. Also combines technical expertise with excellent customer service to keep equipment running smoothly and efficiently.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Outputs<\/p>\n
Installation & Commissioning<\/p>\n
\tPerforming repairs and replacing deflective parts
\n\tCommissioning equipment
\n\tPerform diagnosis on faults \/ malfunctioning of equipment and troubleshooting
\n\tBe prepared to do a call outs and overtime as required
\n\tCarrying out preventive maintenance to ensure high reliability of systems
\n\tEnsuring compliance with industry safety and quality standards<\/p>\n
Planning and Organising<\/p>\n
\tConducting routine inspections of machinery and equipment as per customer request
\n\tLiaise with the relevant Service Co-Ordinator and other stakeholders
\n\tComplete service in accordance with the schedule and request forms<\/p>\n
Customer Service<\/p>\n
\tService and Maintenance concerns to be reported to the escalated timeously for action
\n\tAdvises customers on potential problems
\n\tBuild relationships with existing and new clients
\n\tPromotes Vulcan equipment and advises sales staff on new opportunities for equipment sales<\/p>\n
Stock and Vehicle Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for keeping his vehicle in good running order and in a clean condition
\n\tStocktaking of the company vehicle as per the company policy and accounts for all variances
\n\tTo ensure all consumables are stocked in the service vehicle<\/p>\n
Health & Safety Compliance<\/p>\n
\tWork in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
\n\tMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment both on site and in company vehicles<\/p>\n
Minimum qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
\n\tTrade tested (Electrical)
\n\tRed Seal (advantage)
\n\t2-3 Years in a similar role
\n\tTechnical aptitude and knowledge of\u00a0catering equipment\u00a0would be an advantage
\n\tElectrical and Mechanical Skills
\n\tMust be willing to travel and have a valid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
