In this role, you will:<\/p>\n
\tProvide instrumentation and control engineering expertise, guidance and direction to ensure asset reliability and efficiency.
\n\tDriving optimal asset performance safely.
\n\tSupport production teams by optimising Engineering systems and equipment, to achieve optimum plant and process reliability.
\n\tDevelop and complete action plans and maintenance schedules to solve problems thereby minimizing engineering delays.
\n\tProactively track and monitor instrumentation and control equipment through their life cycle and plan proactively to replace \/ upgrade \/ improve reliability where required. (Risk profile)
\n\tBe involved in new installations. Provide project support from design to check-out and commissioning stages.
\n\tContinuously improve on plant and equipment and Identify improvement opportunities on assets to increase their performance and capability
\n\tContinuously improve standards and systems, deliver sustainable solutions, and partake in problem solving sessions.
\n\tEnsure all documentation, including Yankee, Boiler and DCS data backups are recorded as per standard.
\n\tPerform maintenance activities on instrumentation and control equipment and installation.
\n\tTo ensure that instrumentation and control system spares are available and ready for use when required.
\n\tFollow KC P2P process in terms of sourcing new equipment, itemising, repairable item process and write-offs.
\n\tEnsure compliance with statutory, regulatory and KC requirements relevant to the role.
\n\tAdherence to Mill MOC and sMOC processes.<\/p>\n
To succeed in this role, you will need the following:\u00a0<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tN6 \/ National Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or Relevant Instrumentation qualification
\n\tCompetent (trained and proficient) in ABB DCS \u2013 distributed control system : 800xA System Basic Configuration; System 800xA with AC 800M Engineering, Part 1 Control Builder; System 800xA with AC 800M Engineering, Part 2 Human System Interface; (non-negotiable); Siemens and Rockwell
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 proven experience in complex manufacturing plant and equipment maintenance.
\n\tExperience in Pulp and Paper industry (non-negotiable)
\n\tProcess and Maintenance experience in the FMCG environment.
\n\tComputer Literate, SAP PM
\n\tOwn transport (for standby duties)<\/p>\n
