Description<\/p>\n
\tA vacancy exists for a Unit Manager (Accident & Emergency Unit), reporting to the Nursing Service Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the needs of the internal and external customers through the execution of the Hospital\u2019s business strategy and operational objectives in growth, quality & people by leading, managing and coordinating all hospital activities.<\/p>\n
Critical Outputs<\/p>\n
Ensuring effective people management by:<\/p>\n
\tActively lead and manage the team and ensure participation from all parties to achieve strategic objectives.
\n\tProviding direction and inspiring positive work behaviour in the clinic.
\n\tRecruit, retain, motivate and develop staff according to the clinic\u2019s people\u2019s policies and practices.
\n\tEffective operations management through:
\n\tDriving the optimal functioning of operations, identifying and monitoring gaps and risks and implementing corrective action accordingly.
\n\tMaintaining quality patient care standards.
\n\tEffective relationship management with doctors.
\n\tEffective quality systems management.
\n\tActively lead and market quality in the hospital as it relates to staff, doctors and other stakeholders.
\n\tEnsuring the achievement of financial targets by:
\n\tPreparing and monitoring annual budgets with management in order to implement corrective actions as required.
\n\tManaging revenue, cost of sales, overheads, EBITDA and working capital.
\n\tEnsuring and driving optimal management of business governance to achieve sound business ethics, risk management and control with appropriate transparency and control<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/p>\n
\tRegistered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
\n\tDiploma in specialty would be advantageous
\n\tFive years\u2019 experience working as a Unit Manager in private healthcare.
\n\tComputer proficiency.<\/p>\n
