Job Description<\/p>\n
\tAn established international engineering company seeks a Senior Bookkeeper as a pivotal member of their finance team. This role is essential for ensuring financial integrity through meticulous full-function bookkeeping, from daily transactional processing to the final trial balance.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tFull-Function Bookkeeping: Manage the end-to-end accounting cycle, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
\n\tAccounts Receivable & Payable: Take full ownership of the debtors and creditors functions, including reconciliations and aging analysis.
\n\tCashbook & Reconciliations: Perform detailed bank and cashbook reconciliations to maintain rigorous financial controls.
\n\tTrial Balance Preparation: Execute accurate ledger maintenance and reconciliations through to the trial balance stage.
\n\tReporting & Compliance: Assist in preparing monthly financial data and ensuring all documentation meets internal and audit standards.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tEducation: Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
\n\tExperience: Proven experience in a full-function bookkeeping role, ideally within the engineering, mining, or manufacturing sectors. 5 + years’ experience
\n\tTechnical Knowledge: Strong understanding of South African accounting principles and VAT requirements.
\n\tCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and international stakeholder interaction.
\n\tProfessionalism: High attention to detail and the ability to work independently within a structured environment.

\n\tAble to be full-day in-office in Somerset West<\/p>\n
