\tCraft Liquor Merchants (CLM)\u00a0is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Sales Representative to manage and grow both\u00a0On-Consumption (hospitality)\u00a0and\u00a0Off-Consumption (retail)\u00a0channels within an assigned territory.
\n\tThis role is responsible for driving\u00a0revenue growth, expanding distribution and listings, and executing trade activities\u00a0across a diverse customer base, including liquor stores, retail chains, restaurants, bars, and hotels.
\n\tThe successful candidate will operate as a\u00a0dual-channel commercial owner, ensuring strong brand presence, customer engagement, and consistent execution across both environments.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sales & Revenue Growth:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAchieve and exceed sales targets across both retail and hospitality channels
\n\tDrive revenue growth through increased product distribution, listings, and account expansion
\n\tIdentify new business opportunities and grow existing customer portfolios
\n\tMonitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where required<\/p>\n
Trade Execution & Brand Presence:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure strong product visibility, merchandising, and pricing compliance in retail outlets
\n\tSecure and maintain product listings on menus and wine lists within hospitality venues
\n\tExecute promotions, activations, tastings, and trade campaigns
\n\tSupport product launches and seasonal initiatives across both channels<\/p>\n
Customer Relationship Management:<\/p>\n
Build and maintain strong relationships with:<\/p>\n
\tRetail buyers, store managers, and distributors
\n\tRestaurant owners, bar managers, chefs, and hospitality stakeholders
\n\tConduct structured trade visits aligned to call cycle requirements
\n\tProvide professional service and resolve customer queries effectively<\/p>\n
Customer Development & Category Growth:<\/p>\n
\tSupport retail customers with merchandising and promotional execution<\/p>\n
Support hospitality customers with:<\/p>\n
\tProduct training and tastings
\n\tMenu development and wine pairing recommendations
\n\tIdentify opportunities to grow category performance and customer sales<\/p>\n
Reporting, Insights & Administration:<\/p>\n
\tMaintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, CG Cloud)
\n\tTrack performance against targets and provide regular feedback
\n\tAnalyse sales data and customer trends to inform decision-making
\n\tMonitor competitor activity and provide market insights<\/p>\n
Operational Execution & Compliance:<\/p>\n
\tProcess orders accurately and ensure product availability
\n\tManage stock allocation in line with customer needs and business requirements
\n\tEnsure compliance with company systems, processes, and policies
\n\tMaintain high standards of professionalism and operational discipline<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Matric)
\n\t2\u20134 years\u2019 experience in FMCG, liquor, retail, or hospitality sales
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence and own reliable vehicle
\n\tBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems<\/p>\n
