Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tTo undertake and manage specialist technical service activities relating to flexible endoscope repair. To always meet the quality and compliance requirements of the respective OEM’s.
\n\tThe Senior Endoscope Repair Technician is expected to drive workshop quality standards, support junior technicians, maintain internal customer relationships, and ensure all repair documentation, tooling controls, and service records are completed accurately and on time.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tPerform inspection, fault finding, repair, and rebuild of flexible endoscopes.
\n\tCarry out major repairs, including internal component replacement, articulation systems, channel repairs, optical systems, and full rebuilds.
\n\tConduct final quality inspections and functional testing before release.
\n\tEnsure all repairs are completed in accordance with OEM procedures and standards.
\n\tMaintain accurate job cards, parts usage records, and repair reports.
\n\tSupport and mentor junior technicians in inspection and minor repair activities.
\n\tAssist in maintaining workshop tools, fixtures, and calibrated test equipment.
\n\tTroubleshoot complex failures and identify root causes.
\n\tSupport continuous improvement of repair quality, turnaround time, and workshop efficiency.
\n\tEnsure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal procedures.<\/p>\n
Education and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tTechnical Expertise: National Diploma or relevant qualification in biomedical, electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering with 3+ years specialist repair experience; or 7+ years relevant scope technical repair experience.
\n\tStrong experience in flexible endoscope repair and rebuilds.
\n\tOEM certification (preferably Olympus Corporation) highly advantageous.
\n\tGood proficiency in MS Office suite (will be tested).
\n\tRegulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of medical device regulations, ISO 13485 principles, and controlled repair environments.
\n\tProblem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability to diagnose complex equipment failures and provide timely solutions.<\/p>\n
