\n\tWe are currently seeking an\u00a0Assistant Carer Supervisor (Night)\u00a0to join our team at\u00a0Tokai Estate\u00a0in the Southern Suburbs.
\n\tThis role works closely with the Carer Supervisor to support the day-to-day leadership and coordination of the care team. The Assistant Carer Supervisor plays an important role in guiding carers on shift, ensuring smooth operations, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to residents.

\u00a0Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSupervise and coordinate the carer team by ensuring they are within their allocated areas
\n\tEnsure the care team is consistently following patient care plans and completing daily charting accurately.
\n\tMonitor that the carers are following policies, procedures and reporting non-compliance to the Carer Supervisor.
\n\tEnsure that the carers respond promptly to call\/panic buttons, and oversee that the accurate procedure is followed\u00a0
\n\tAssist carers with care tasks, activities, and exercises when necessary
\n\tAddressing staff queries and providing guidance and ensure resolution\u00a0
\n\tMonitor residents’ condition changes that may affect care plans and communicate concerns to the Shift Leader.
\n\tIdentify and escalate where carer training intervention might be required to the Carer Supervisor\u00a0
\n\tSubmit daily handover reports and ensure carer equipment is distributed to staff and neatly stored in designated areas at the end of each shift\u00a0
\n\tPromptly report and document incidents.
\n\tEnsure patient inventory e.g nappies and toiletries are sufficiently stocked\u00a0
\n\tPerform weekly spot checks on resident rooms, equipment, and physical health.
\n\tFollow infection control procedures and conduct quality checks.
\n\tEnsure grooming photos, including hair, nails, and overall appearance, are taken and uploaded as required\u00a0
\n\tEnsure ongoing communication with the team to address any concerns regarding staff scheduled for the next day, and promptly escalate issues to the Carer Supervisor or Healthcare Administrator if necessary<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\u00a0Education and Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 10 – 12\u00a0
\n\tAcknowledged carer qualification (advantageous)\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience and Knowledge :\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tProven experience within a management\/supervisory capacity\u00a0
\n\tExperience working as a carer would be an advantage
\n\tPossess strong and accurate computer and administrative skills to manage documentation and records efficiently<\/p>\n
Understand key principles in caring for the elderly, including:<\/p>\n
\tCore carer competency skills
\n\tDementia care
\n\tPalliative care
\n\tRehabilitative care
\n\tManual Handling knowledge & skills
\n\tFall prevention knowledge & skills<\/p>\n
