We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg (Hybrid).
\n\tYou will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of banking software systems. You\u2019ll work within Agile teams to design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks that validate the functionality, performance, and security of digital banking solutions.

Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tTest Planning & Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for mobile, web, and API applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and quality standards.
\n\tTest Case Design & Execution: Create and execute detailed test cases for manual and automated testing, focusing on functionality, usability, and performance across platforms.
\n\tAutomation Framework Development: Design and implement robust automation frameworks using Java, integrating with tools like Selenium, Appium, and RestAssured for BDD and TDD practices.
\n\tCI\/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines, ensuring seamless execution and reporting within the continuous integration\/continuous deployment workflow.
\n\tPerformance Testing: Conduct basic performance testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to assess application scalability and responsiveness.
\n\tDefect Management: Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
\n\tCollaboration & Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to ensure quality is integrated into the development process. Provide regular test reports and metrics to stakeholders.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is often preferred<\/p>\n
Essential skills<\/p>\n
\tProficiency in Java programming language.
\n\tExperience with BDD and TDD methodologies.
\n\tFamiliarity with Azure DevOps for CI\/CD integration.
\n\tExperience in mobile (Appium), web (Selenium), and API (RestAssured) testing.
\n\tBasic knowledge of performance testing (JMeter)tools.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t3\u20137 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
\n\tStrong problem-solving abilities to identify root causes of defects and propose effective solutions.
\n\tAbility to clearly communicate issues, risks, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders<\/p>\n
