\tConduct and coordinate safety meetings.
\n\tConduct underground safety inspections and ensure that necessary actions are taken as per audit findings until resolved.
\n\tConducts planned task observations (PTOs) and Safe Behavioural Observations (SBOs) and Risk Assessments as per plan.
\n\tConduct accidents and incidents investigations and implement necessary measures to avoid re-occurrence.
\n\tEnsure compliance to SHE standards, legislations, codes of practice an targets.
\n\tCommunication and implementation of SHE related interventions and campaigns withing the assigned section as per plan.
\n\tLiaise with relevant stakeholders regarding safety matters including safety representatives, union representations, team members etc.
\n\tMonthly production plans to be reviewed and maintained.
\n\tEffective management of resources and logistics.
\n\tAchieve production efficiencies
\n\tReporting on daily section performance.
\n\tAdhere to cost constraints and maintain cost expenditure.
\n\tUnderstanding budget limitations.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tNQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 Certificate)
\n\tMetalliferous Mining Blasting Certificate
\n\tShift Supervisor certificate of competence will be advantageous
\n\tMinimum Three (3) years\u2019 experience as a miner (inclusive of excellent safety and production results)
\n\tActing exposure as a Shiftboss will be advantageous
\n\tCode 8 Drivers License
\n\tValid certificate of physical fitness<\/p>\n
