Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tQuality & Accreditation:\u00a0Maintain and improve quality control systems to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and international testing standards.
\n\tMethod Development:\u00a0Research, develop, and optimize testing methodologies; conduct trials and assess changes to standard test methods.
\n\tValidation:\u00a0Identify validation criteria, perform validations, and compile validation reports for new and existing methods.
\n\tTechnical Oversight:\u00a0Perform internal calibrations and verifications on equipment to ensure accuracy and fitness for purpose.
\n\tProblem Solving:\u00a0Investigate non-conformances, customer queries and PT deviations using root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
\n\tStakeholder Influence:\u00a0Provide technical guidance to Team Managers and Process Controllers regarding quality of testing and sample preparation.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tEducation:\u00a0BEng (Metallurgy and Material Science) or BSc (Hons) Material Science (NQF Level 8).
\n\tExperience:\u00a0A minimum of 2 years\u2019 relevant laboratory experience at technician level. 3-4 years would be ideal.
\n\tTechnical Expertise:\u00a0Proven knowledge of mechanical\/metallurgical testing, statistics, and quality control systems.
\n\tISO 17025:\u00a0Experience as a Technical Signatory in an accredited laboratory is a distinct advantage.
\n\tSkills:\u00a0Advanced data analysis, method validation using statistical tools, and in-depth root cause analysis.<\/p>\n
