We are looking for a strategic and results-driven leader to head our engineering function for the SK and SM Range, overseeing ETO project execution and cross-regional collaboration, while driving engineering excellence, standardization, and capability growth to support our Screening Solutions business across EMEA. The role will be reporting to the Director Sales Development Screening Solutions EMEA.
\n\tWork location is flexible across Screening Solutions entities in EMEA (South Africa, Finland, Sweden, Germany)<\/p>\n
Purpose of the role:<\/p>\n
\tLeads the engineering function responsible for the SK and SM Range and indirectly S-Range SCR, including ETO execution through Project Mangers, and cross\u2011regional technology transfer. The role ensures high\u2011quality engineering deliveries, builds technical competence, and expands the engineering scope to meet business growth targets.
\n\tThe position plays a critical role in driving standardization, operational excellence, and engineering efficiency while ensuring customer\u2011specific solutions are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
\n\tETO & Projects Manager will be part of the Sales Development EMEA Management team and will play a critical role to set future direction for the Screening Solutions region overall and especially to build up engineering capabilities on ETO basis<\/p>\n
The job responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Engineer\u2011to\u2011Order (ETO) Leadership<\/p>\n
\tLead the ETO engineering team for SK and SM screens and indirectly oversee SCR requests for S-Range within Screening Solutions region, ensuring accurate design, timely delivery, and compliance with internal and external standards.
\n\tProvide leadership, workload management for the Project Managers. Ensure seamless interaction between involved entities and functions which are part of the project team.
\n\tEnsure consistent project governance aligned with Sandvik Project Office guidelines
\n\tOversee customer\u2011specific mechanical design, structural calculations, BOM generation, and drawing release.
\n\tEnsure ETO processes follow Sandvik design guidelines, engineering governance, and quality standards.
\n\tDrive reduction of ETO cycle times through streamlined workflows and standardization.<\/p>\n
Technology Transfer & Cross\u2011Regional Engineering Alignment<\/p>\n
\tAct as the primary owner of engineering knowledge transfer between global Sandvik engineering hubs.
\n\tEnsure consistent engineering methodology, standards, and design rules across all teams working on S, SK and SM screens & feeders
\n\tLead onboarding of new engineering centers to the product line, including documentation, training, and capability assessments.
\n\tSupport harmonization of CAD\/PLM processes and digital engineering tools.<\/p>\n
Competence Development & Scope Expansion<\/p>\n
\tDevelop a comprehensive competence\u2011building roadmap for the engineering and project management team, focusing on mechanical design, screening technology, and product knowledge.
\n\tExpand engineering scope towards support of turn-key projects for screening solutions. Screening Stations, steel structure for replacement screens
\n\tOn combined Screening and Crushing projects work closely together with Crushing ETO & Projects Manager<\/p>\n
Product Engineering & Continuous Improvement<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with R&D and Product Line organizations to ensure continuous product improvements<\/p>\n
Operational & People Leadership<\/p>\n
\tManage team performance, workload planning, resource allocation, and skills development.
\n\tFoster a culture of safety, high performance, ownership, and continuous improvement.
\n\tEnsure proper use of engineering tools and adherence to Sandvik processes and governance.
\n\tProvide clear communication, coaching, and leadership to ensure stable and scalable engineering operations.<\/p>\n
EHS Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop ones & teams EHS activities and actions associated with the annual commitment and sales area EHS plan
\n\tFollow EHS policies \/ procedures \/ training
\n\tParticipate in EHS programs or activities<\/p>\n

Technical<\/p>\n
\tStrong mechanical engineering foundation; experience with vibrating equipment or heavy machinery preferred.
\n\tKnowledge of ETO processes, project management methodologies, and industrial manufacturing.
\n\tUnderstanding of DFM, structural calculations, FEA, fatigue, and reliability engineering.<\/p>\n
Managerial<\/p>\n
\tLeadership of engineering and project management teams.
\n\tExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
\n\tAbility to balance short\u2011term execution with long\u2011term capability growth.<\/p>\n
Commercial<\/p>\n
\tUnderstanding of project financials, contract terms, and margin drivers.
\n\tAbility to support quotation and tender evaluations.<\/p>\n
Profile Required:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Matric)
\n\tProfessional degree at the level of industrial engineering, Mechanical\/Metallurgical Engineering, Engineer in mines, maintenance or similar
\n\t10+ years in engineering, project execution, or capital equipment delivery
\n\t5+ years in engineering or project management leadership.
\n\t10+ years in a related engineering role
\n\tEnglish (fluent). Additional languages beneficial depending on region
\n\tAbility to travel internationally
\n\tValid driver’s license<\/p>\n
