Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDrilling and Equipment maintenance \u00a0Effective rock drill operation at the development and stoping ends to achieve targets within set quality standards. \u00a0Effective drilling of equipment through drilling holes using drill steel equipped with a \u201cknock-off bit\u201d. \u00a0Effectively position and remove a drill carriage. \u00a0Ensure that all work conducted is performed to the required standards and specifications. \u00a0Ensure that the correct tools are used to complete tasks. \u00a0Install grouted support, rope anchors, rock bolts and mechanical props. \u00a0Ensure that equipment is always maintained to perform the job and not damaged. \u00a0Conduct basic maintenance activities on equipment. Administration and Reporting \u00a0Communicate any stumbling blocks for actions to be taken. \u00a0Ensure that any operational problem that is encountered is reported even if outside immediate area of responsibility. \u00a0Support team members whenever required. Drilling of face holes and\/or support holes \u00a0Ensure holes are drilled to the correct depth and angle required by mining standards. \u00a0Ensure that roofbolt is installed as per mining standards. \u00a0Assist with charging up when required. \u00a0Assist with the face preparation including safety nets and props.
