Introduction<\/p>\n
\tTo support the Trade Insights & Analytics team in delivering accurate, timely and commercially relevant reporting and analysis across Foods promotional performance and trade activity. This role plays a key part in the weekly and monthly trade reporting cycle, ensuring high quality data and reporting outputs are delivered to support category trade reviews, post-promotional reviews (PIRs), commercial analysis and executive decision-making. The analyst will support the team by consolidating and preparing data for effective analysis, identifying key performance signals and contributing toward meaningful commercial insights and recommendations. The successful candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented and commercially curious, with strong ambition to grow within trade analytics, promotional effectiveness analysis and commercial insight generation.<\/p>\n

\nWeekly & Monthly Trade Reporting<\/p>\n
\tOwn and deliver accurate and timely weekly and monthly reporting outputs across Foods trade and promotional performance
\n\tPull, validate and consolidate reporting from multiple data sources within strict timelines
\n\tEnsure consistency, accuracy and completeness of reporting templates and outputs before business distribution
\n\tSupport the preparation of executive-ready reporting packs used in weekly trade and leadership reviews
\n\tIdentify anomalies, inconsistencies and material performance shifts across categories and promotional activity<\/p>\n
Promotional Reporting & Effectiveness Analysis<\/p>\n
\tSupport analysis of promotional and trade performance across Foods categories
\n\tAssist in evaluating promotional effectiveness, including sales uplift, volume growth, customer response and margin impact
\n\tConsolidate and prepare data inputs required for promotional analysis and post-promotional reviews (PIRs)
\n\tSupport tracking of promotional trends, trade performance and category movements across the business
\n\tAssist with ad hoc promotional and trade investigations where required<\/p>\n
Data Preparation & Commercial Analysis Support<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and structure data for deeper commercial analysis, viability work and strategic trade reviews
\n\tSupport the team in identifying key trade signals, risks and opportunities emerging from weekly performance
\n\tContribute toward cross-category analysis and identification of emerging business trends
\n\tAssist in translating reporting outputs into concise and actionable business insights
\n\tSupport continuous improvement in reporting quality, usability and analytical value<\/p>\n
Reporting Optimisation & Automation<\/p>\n
\tDrive continuous improvement in reporting processes, accuracy and efficiency
\n\tSupport automation and simplification initiatives within reporting and analytics workflows
\n\tAssist in leveraging AI and analytical tools to improve reporting quality, insight generation and productivity
\n\tMaintain strong governance and version control across reporting files and outputs<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
\tEngage effectively with internal stakeholders across Commercial, Trade and Analytics teams
\n\tSupport category and trade teams with reporting-related queries and interpretation of outputs
\n\tBuild collaborative working relationships across cross-functional teams
\n\tCommunicate findings clearly and confidently in both written and verbal format<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements<\/p>\n
\tRelevant commercial degree or diploma (BCom, BBusSci, B Econ or equivalent)
\n\t3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in analytics, reporting or commercial support roles
\n\tRetail\/FMCG experience advantageous
\n\tStrong commercial curiosity and interest in promotional performance and trade analytics
\n\tAdvanced Excel capability essential
\n\tExperience with QlikView\/QlikSense, Power BI or similar analytical tools advantageous
\n\tStrong numerical and analytical capability
\n\tHigh attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
\n\tAbility to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced reporting environment
\n\tSelf-starter with strong ownership mindset and ambition to grow
\n\tStrong interpersonal and communication skills
