A vacancy exists for a Senior Nuclear Medicine Radiographer, based in Hilton, reporting to the Nuclear Operations Manager, Ansu Fourie. The incumbent will be responsible for providing a high-quality service to both Inpatients and Outpatients. This will include Nuclear Medicine procedures, quality assurance and related administrative duties. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Nuclear medicine Department and multi-disciplinary teams, providing a high-quality service to patients in assigned areas in accordance with professional standards of practice.<\/p>\n
Critical Outputs<\/p>\n
\tSchedule patients for Nuclear medicine
\n\tPrepare patients for Nuclear medicine procedures which they are
\n\tPrepare the room and equipment required before commencing radiology
\n\tPerforms procedures which the incumbent is
\n\tPerform hotlbab procedures and preparations for
\n\tOrder radiopharmaceuticals and other stock as
\n\tWork overtime when
\n\tPerform administrative tasks related to the business
\n\tParticipate in all staff meetings, briefings and
\n\tMaintain acceptable levels of health and safety and complete monthly
\n\tTake part in routine daily inspection of equipment and quality assurance
\n\tEnsure compliance with work procedures and
\n\tTake on responsibilities as the radiation protection officer for the unit and ensure compliance with SAHPRA
\n\tProcess invoices and purchase orders on
\n\tKeep up-to-date with current techniques and developments in Radiographic and imaging procedures and to take part in in-service training as required.
\n\tMaintain good working relationships with colleagues and with non-radiographic staff, both in the Nuclear Medicine Department and elsewhere in the hospital.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Nuclear Medicine Radiography
\n\tBe registered with HPCSA and CPD compliant
\n\tAt least 5 year experience in Nuclear Medicine
\n\tAbility to perform weekend work
\n\tOwn transport and a valid driver\u2019s license is essential
\n\tExperience in Nuclear therapy<\/p>\n
