The successful candidate will report to the Chairperson of FPB, and their responsibilities will include:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tPolicy and Planning\u00a0\u2013 Develops medium-term business plans based on the FPB strategic mandate as set by Council and ensure successful execution thereof\u00a0
\n\tLegal and Compliance\u00a0– Ensures that all operational activities of the Board are compliant with relevant legislation and codes of good governance\u00a0
\n\tManagement and Administration\u00a0\u2013Is responsible for all matters relating to the administration and management of the Board, and assures a smoothly functioning, efficient organisation\u00a0
\n\tGovernance\u00a0\u2013 Works with the Council\/Chairperson to enable the Council to fulfil its governance functions and facilitates optimum performance by the Council, its committees and individual Council members\u00a0
\n\tHuman Capital\u00a0\u2013 Ensures the implementation of a human capital strategic and policy framework that meets the needs of the Board\u00a0
\n\tFinance\u00a0\u2013 Promotes programmes and services that are produced in a cost-effective manner and kept within budget while maintaining an acceptable level of quality and works with the Council to ensure financing to support short- and long-term goals, and serves as the Accounting Officer of FPB, as stipulated in the Public Finance Management Act.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tA relevant NQF 8 qualification as recognised by SAQA.
\n\tA relevant master\u2019s degree (NQF level 9) qualification as recognised by SAQA in the relevant disciplines or Management or Finance will serve as an added advantage.
\n\t10- 15 years of relevant working experience\u00a0in the regulation and classification, media practice, ICT, Film Sector.\u00a0
\n\tProven track record of ethical leadership.\u00a0
\n\tAt least 5 years\u2019 experience serving at the Executive or Board level.
\n\tAt least 5 years\u2019 Senior Management Experience within the regulation and classification, media practice, ICT, Film Sector.
\n\tProven track record of relationship building and contract management.
\n\tProven track record of ICT Policy and Regulations formulation on classification, media and film practice.<\/p>\n
