QUALIFICATION<\/p>\n
\tB-Tech Safety Management or equivalent\u00a0
\n\tSAMTRAC Certificate\u00a0
\n\tSHE Legal Liability certificate\u00a0<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 7-9 years\u2019 post qualification experience in safety, health and environmental management system.\u00a0
\n\tMinimum 2 years\u2019 managerial experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n
CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREAS\u00a0<\/p>\n
The incumbent will be responsible to perform the following functions but not limited to;\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement safety, health and environmental management systems aligned with international and national standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, & OH&S act) to enable for a healthy, safe and legally compliant workplace.\u00a0
\n\tProvide direction and key inputs to the SHEQ auditing and compliance functions in terms of executing specific tasks.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor, against plans, the tasks executed by team members\/sub-sections in terms of quality standards, time, cost effectiveness, technical and procedural correctness, and initiate corrective action where required.\u00a0
\n\tManage attendance and leave, discipline staff in the Section and initiate corrective action where necessary.\u00a0
\n\tMeasure staff performance utilising the prescribed performance evaluation system and initiate corrective action i.e., training and\/or rewards, when justified.\u00a0
\n\tEngage with the Department of Labour, Department of Environmental affairs, Department of Public Works, Local authorities in order to facilitate compliance with legal and other requirements.\u00a0
\n\tEngage with Third Parties regarding the maintenance of the organization\u2019s certification status.\u00a0
\n\tProvide SHE technical input for SHE meetings to enable that the correct decisions are made.\u00a0
\n\tDevelop and provide specialized in house SHE training programs.<\/p>\n
