PURPOSE OF POSITION<\/p>\n
\tThe Unit manager will oversee the enhancement of nursing care quality by ensuring adherence to professional and ethical standards. They will also monitor and ensure that nursing care and service delivery adhere to standards within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team. Additionally, the role includes coordinating capacity building, mentoring, and training initiatives.<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS<\/p>\n
\tManaging departmental costs effectively.
\n\tEnsuring accurate billing, stock management, and purchasing.
\n\tIdentifying and implementing quality improvement opportunities.
\n\tEnsuring timely and accurate compilation of records.
\n\tEnsuring compliance with protocols, policies, and regulatory Acts.
\n\tPromoting the health and wellbeing of patients and staff.
\n\tProviding safe, cost-effective, quality patient care aligned with Clinical Governance and evidence-based practice.
\n\tEvaluating patient experiences and stakeholder feedback to improve services.
\n\tMonitoring nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes.
\n\tCommunicating effectively with patients about their care.
\n\tPromoting infection prevention practices and standard precautions.
\n\tParticipating actively in team efforts to achieve objectives.
\n\tEngaging in ongoing professional development and staying current with organizational policies.
\n\tDelegating decision-making, tasks, and responsibilities appropriately to enhance organizational and employee effectiveness.
\n\tDeveloping the nursing workforce through training and talent management initiatives.
\n\tMonitoring staff attendance and addressing absenteeism.
\n\tManaging change and conflict effectively.
\n\tSupporting staff development through coaching and mentoring.
\n\tBuilding positive working relationships and collaboration with colleagues, doctors, suppliers, and service providers.

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)<\/p>\n
\tDiploma\/Degree in Nursing.
\n\tPost Basic Qualification: Trauma (Essential)
\n\tQualification in management
\n\tSANC Registration as Professional Nurse
\n\tBasic Life Support certification
\n\tProficiency in computer applications, including electronic medical records systems.
\n\t+5 years Trauma Exp. in Shift Leader\/Management role<\/p>\n
