Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tThe Senior Business Analyst is responsible for driving strategic and tactical business analysis initiatives while integrating business architecture principles tensure alignment between business strategy, capabilities, processes, and technology solutions.
\n\tThis role bridges the gap between business needs and enterprise-wide solutions, enabling informed decision-making, capability development, and value realization across the organisation.<\/p>\n
Job Responsibilities
\nBusiness Analysis Delivery<\/p>\n
\tLead end-to-end business analysis activities across complex initiatives.
\n\tElicit, analyse, and document business requirements (functional and non-functional).
\n\tFacilitate workshops, stakeholder engagements, and requirements validation sessions.
\n\tTranslate business needs intclear, structured deliverables (BRDs, user stories, process models).
\n\tEnsure traceability from requirements through tsolution implementation.<\/p>\n
Business Architecture Alignment<\/p>\n
\tMap and model business capabilities, value streams, and processes.
\n\tIdentify capability gaps and support capability maturity assessments.
\n\tAlign initiatives tstrategic objectives and enterprise architecture frameworks.
\n\tContribute tthe development and maintenance of the business architecture repository.
\n\tSupport operating model design and transformation initiatives.<\/p>\n
Strategic Analysis & Advisory<\/p>\n
\tSupport business case development.
\n\tConduct impact analysis for regulatory, process, and system changes.
\n\tProvide thought leadership on solution options and trade-offs.
\n\tAdvise stakeholders on best practices in business analysis and architecture<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n
\tEngage with senior stakeholders across business and IT.
\n\tAct as a trusted advisor and liaison between business units and delivery teams.
\n\tManage expectations, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment.<\/p>\n
Process Improvement & Optimization<\/p>\n
\tAnalyse current-state processes and design future-state improvements.
\n\tApply lean methodology.
\n\tDrive efficiency, cost reduction, and customer experience enhancements<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in business, information systems or a related field (NQF Level 7)
\n\tHonours (NQF Level 8) and above in related field preferred
\n\tExperience in Business analysis
\n\tDemonstrated experience in business architecture and\/or operating model design
\n\tExperience in the Banking Industry, within a complex matrix structure would be preferred
\n\tIIBA or PMI endorsed Business Analysis certification
\n\tTOGAF or Business Architecture certification<\/p>\n
Knowledge and understanding of:<\/p>\n
\tBusiness analysis methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
\n\tBusiness architecture concepts (capabilities, value streams, operating models)
\n\tProcess modelling standards (e.g., BPMN)
\n\tStakeholder management principles<\/p>\n
