Description<\/p>\n
\tThe purpose of this position is to operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner, and to clean, maintain and secure the machine as directed by legislation, policies and procedures. Heavy Equipment includes Mobile Cranes, Service Trucks with hiab etc.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tPerform daily vehicle inspections according to operational procedures and report problems to the Supervisor
\n\tLog machine operating hours and report according to operational procedures
\n\tPerform basic pre-use maintenance as required i.e. fluid levels, tyre pressure etc.
\n\tPerform general housekeeping duties
\n\tOperate the equipment to handle material as required
\n\tPerform standby duties
\n\tOperate Mobile \/ Tower Crane in a safe manner according to manufacturer operating procedures and site-specific procedures and practices<\/p>\n
Qualification Requirement<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED qualifications such as the N3 Certificate
\n\tValid Driver\u2019s Licence for the specific equipment (e.g. Code 14)
\n\tMobile Crane Licence \/ Certification (80 \/ 110 Ton) or Tower Crane Licence\/ Certification
\n\tOwn transport to attend to call outs<\/p>\n
Experience and Skills Requirements<\/p>\n
\tExperience in operating equipment in an operational environment
\n\tSuccessful completion of Dover Test before appointment
\n\tKnowledge and experience with operating Mobile Cranes, Service Trucks with hiab and other heavy-duty equipment
\n\tTime management skills
\n\tEnglish language proficiency<\/p>\n
