Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tTo Manage, Co-ordinate and engage in the planning, management and monitoring of all aspects related to the management of the Portfolio Facilities to ensure that quality standards are maintained and improved. Ensure strong stakeholder relationships are built and expectations maintained whilst complying with all internal policies and procedures or instructions from management.<\/p>\n
Main duties and responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tThe active co-ordination, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability projects.
\n\tTo lead and manage a team in all aspects of site facilities management.
\n\tTo plan and oversee projects within timescales and budgets.
\n\tPlan co-ordinate and manage facilities resources and operations as required.
\n\tOrganize and control service maintenance agreements.
\n\tWork with procurement to source best value and look for opportunities to implement cost savings.
\n\tDevelop and implement an effective planned preventive maintenance program for the portfolio and manage it to ensure the equipment is maintained in at an optimal operational level.
\n\tAssist and monitor tenant installation projects.
\n\tManage and monitor all contracted services and vendor suppliers, obtains quotations and prepares work orders.
\n\tManage and co-ordinate works with onsite teams to supervise maintenance employees to ensure maximum performance and compliance with all policies and procedures.
\n\tManage the preparation of documentation for the expense portion of the annual budget\/business plan.
\n\tManage and prepare back-up information for operational reports.
\n\tAssist the Property Managers as needed.
\n\tAssist the National Facilities Manager as needed.
\n\tTo undertake any other duties as may be required by the level of the post, and as required by the National Facilities Manager and Senior Management.
\n\tThe post holder will ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.<\/p>\n
Job Specific Requirements:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Job Knowledge:<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of the Health and Safety Act, relevant building regulations applicable SANS codes.
\n\tAn understanding of customer service
\n\tThorough understanding of green building management.
\n\tAnalyzing and determine the nature of complex emergency responses in line with policies.
\n\tProject management of all projects within the portfolio.
\n\tMaintenance planning and scheduling.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Technical Knowledge:<\/p>\n
\tDetail medium and low voltage substation design, including equipment specification and selection.
\n\tDevelop electrical specifications, designs compliant with local regulations and client.
\n\tCoordinate and oversee factory acceptance and site acceptance testing of electrical.
\n\tDetail High voltage substation and overhead line design, including equipment specification and selection.<\/p>\n

Relevant Job Experience:<\/p>\n
\u00a0Essential:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 10 years\u2019 experience in Facilities Management.
\n\tMulti-building management experience essential.
\n\tFinancial Management skills.<\/p>\n
Education:<\/p>\n
\tBSc \/ B.Eng. Electrical Engineering degree or a BTech degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering (essential).
\n\tRegistered as an Engineer or Engineer Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) essential.
\n\tDriver\u2019s license with own transport.
\n\tSAFMA accreditation is preferred.<\/p>\n
Competency Requirements:<\/p>\n

\tDemonstrate leadership skills and a willingness to grow and learn new skill sets.
\n\tOccasional weekend working and after hours call-outs will be required.

\n\tGeneral Facilities Management with a specialization of electrical engineering for South African operation as and when required.
