\tA leading South African-based fresh produce business is seeking a\u00a0Head of Operations and Engineering\u00a0to join its executive leadership team, based near\u00a0Kimberley\u00a0in the\u00a0Northern Cape.
\n\tThe company is a key player in the agriculture sector, supplying both local and international markets, with operations spanning multiple large-scale production units and advanced packhouse facilities.

Duties and responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tExecutive leadership:\u00a0Lead and inspire a senior management team, set operational strategies and ensure seamless execution of business objectives
\n\tOperational excellence:\u00a0Oversee daily operations, assets and packhouse processes while ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards
\n\tEngineering & technical collaboration:\u00a0Work closely with technical and engineering teams to optimise processes and equipment performance
\n\tStaff development:\u00a0Build a performance-driven culture by empowering teams, fostering accountability and supporting professional growth
\n\tSales and marketing support:\u00a0Partner with the commercial team to strengthen market presence, develop new opportunities and build long-term client relationships
\n\tLogistics & supply chain:\u00a0Manage transport, storage, and distribution to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness
\n\tFinancial & strategic oversight:\u00a0Monitor performance metrics, ensure cost control and contribute to strategic planning, expansion, and investment activities
\n\tStakeholder management:\u00a0Maintain strong relationships with key partners, suppliers and stakeholders<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements:<\/p>\n
\tAt least\u00a015 years’ senior management experience, ideally in agribusiness, food production or large-scale industrial operations
\n\tProven track record in\u00a0strategic planning, financial management and risk oversight
\n\tRelevant tertiary qualification in\u00a0Agricultural\/Civil Engineering\u00a0or related fields
\n\tStrong technical experience
\n\tA genuine passion for agriculture is essential<\/p>\n
