Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To<\/p>\n
\tMaintain and enhance all gardens, lawns and landscaped areas to a high aesthetic standard
\n\tImplement seasonal planting plans and contribute to long-term landscape development in line with the estate vision
\n\tMonitor plant health, identifying and addressing pests, diseases and general garden conditions
\n\tOversee vegetable, herb and orchard production to ensure consistent, high-quality yield
\n\tCollaborate closely with the culinary team to align crop planning with seasonal menu requirements
\n\tManage harvesting schedules and ensure a continuous supply of fresh produce
\n\tLead composting initiatives and implement soil improvement programmes
\n\tApply sustainable and environmentally responsible horticultural practices
\n\tOversee and optimise irrigation systems, ensuring efficient and water-wise usage
\n\tMonitor water consumption and identify maintenance or system improvement needs
\n\tSupervise and support the garden team, allocating daily tasks and overseeing projects
\n\tLiaise with suppliers, nurseries and external service providers where required<\/p>\n
Criteria<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 relevant horticultural experience, ideally within a wine estate, farm or hospitality environment
\n\tRelevant qualification in Horticulture, Agriculture or Landscape Management advantageous
\n\tSolid knowledge of plant care, soil management, irrigation systems and sustainable practices
\n\tPractical experience in vegetable cultivation, composting and regenerative techniques
\n\tStrong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage seasonal workflows
\n\tGood communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
\n\tHands-on approach with a strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors
\n\tYoung, energetic, and passionate about sustainable horticulture
\n\tProactive, hands-on and solution-driven
\n\tValid drivers\u2019 licence is non-negotiable<\/p>\n
