\tThis position exists to act as the link between the Site Manager and production operations, ensuring that project activities are carried out efficiently.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Functional Management<\/p>\n
\tFocuses on applying technical expertise within a project.
\n\tInterpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
\n\tEnsure construction activities follow engineering requirements.<\/p>\n
Financial, Commercial & Contracts Management<\/p>\n
\tGive inputs to draft programme requirements.
\n\tIdentify and highlight delays and their causes to the site manager.
\n\tGenerate, track and provide daily costing reports to the site manager.<\/p>\n
Risk Management & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tIdentify changes in work scope in the project plan and highlight it to the relevant site manager.
\n\tEvaluate and analyse with the project team, risks and issues compromising project results, and develop plans to mitigate them.
\n\tKeeps the site manager fully aware of potential risks to the project completion date.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Management (Internal\/External)<\/p>\n
\tMaintain working relationship with project management team across all levels, to ensure accurate and effective data is provided timeously.<\/p>\n
Operations & Project Management<\/p>\n
\tCoordinate and monitor subcontractors and construction workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
\n\tProvide technical advice and troubleshoot problems on-site as they arise.
\n\tEnsure materials and equipment are available and coordinated timeously.<\/p>\n
SHEQ Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all work is executed within SHEQ standards.
\n\tInspect work to ensure it meets standards and specifications.
\n\tEnsure workers follow safety regulations.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tMinimum: Diploma in Civil Engineering.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 3 years\u2019 experience working as a Site Technician across various areas of construction projects, with a full understanding of the scope of a construction project.
\n\tExperience in planning and setting up construction projects is preferred.
\n\tMinimum of 2 years\u2019 experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably within a construction environment at Site Technician level.<\/p>\n
SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED<\/p>\n
\tSolid understanding of the Mining and Construction Industries with specific emphasis on Fraser Alexander Construction business.
\n\tKnowledge and skills in construction management.
\n\tStrong problem solving and analytical skills.
\n\tAttention to detail.
\n\tOutcome and deadline driven.<\/p>\n
