Key Focus of the Role<\/p>\n
\tYou will take ownership of strategic customer relationships, drive high-level commercial deals, and identify opportunities for growth through innovation, market insights, and effective account management. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, relationship management, and operational execution.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tBuild and manage strong relationships with key strategic customers, acting as the main point of contact
\n\tDrive customer growth through effective account management, upselling, and new business development
\n\tMonitor market trends, pricing, and customer performance metrics to inform commercial decisions
\n\tManage and grow the sales pipeline, promoting innovative packaging solutions
\n\tNegotiate and administer contracts, including pricing, rebates, and SLAs
\n\tOversee account performance, including forecasting, stock, debtors, and overall profitability
\n\tCollaborate cross-functionally on stock management, cost-saving initiatives, and operational improvements
\n\tConduct regular customer reviews and ensure alignment with business objectives<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree (NQF 7)
\n\t5\u201310 years\u2019 experience in a demanding manufacturing environment
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in a senior customer management role
\n\tProven track record in key account management and commercial deal-making
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence and own reliable vehicle
\n\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
\n\tExcellent organisational and time management abilities
\n\tStrong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
\n\tSelf-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to lead and mentor a team
\n\tSolid understanding of B2B environments and key customer dynamics
\n\tAbility to analyse sales data and translate insights into actionable strategies
\n\tExperience within the packaging industry is advantageous<\/p>\n
