\tSouth African Sugarcane Research Institute (SASRI) a division of the South African Sugar Association (SASA) has a 12-month Entomology Graduate Programme, based in Mount -Edgecombe, KZN.
\n\tThe South African Sugarcane Research Institute (SASRI) is internationally recognised for its cutting-edge agricultural and biological research, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the South African sugarcane industry. SASRI provides a dynamic and innovative environment for young scientists to learn, grow, and make an impact. SASRI is currently looking for an Entomology graduate that will be working on an exciting Entomology project.<\/p>\n

Who should apply?<\/p>\n
\tWe are looking for a motivated graduate who have:
\n\tAn undergraduate qualification (minimum Bachelor’s degree) or Postgraduate degree in Entomology, Biological sciences, Crop protection or equivalent
\n\tA solid academic record and passion for research
\n\tGood communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team
\n\tBackground in laboratory experience and some virus work on insects would be advantageous<\/p>\n

\tShould have an interest in working in an agricultural research environment
\n\tGood verbal and written communication skills
\n\tA team player that can self-motivate and work independently
\n\tGoal oriented and career focussed<\/p>\n
Term of the Internship:<\/p>\n
\tParticipants will be offered a one-year contract.<\/p>\n
Benefits:<\/p>\n
\tSuccessful participants will receive an allowance of R4500.00 monthly.
\n\tWe offer onsite accommodation, meals, clinic facilities and a laundry service: Should you make use of this option a monthly deduction of R380.00 will be made from your allowance via our payroll.
