They are seeking a Commercial Manager to own and drive the company&#8217;s revenue performance \u2014 from strategy through to execution.<br \/>\n\tThis is a senior, high-impact role. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for growing our customer base, deepening relationships with key accounts, managing and developing the sales team, and ensuring that commercial decisions are grounded in data and delivered with discipline.<\/p>\n<p>Non-negotiable requirements<\/p>\n<p>\tMinimum 5 years commercial, sales management or key account management experience<br \/>\n\tProven track record of delivering revenue growth \u2014 must be able to evidence with numbers<br \/>\n\tExperience managing and leading a sales team \u2014 not just individual contributor experience<br \/>\n\tStrong FMCG, distribution or consumer goods background<br \/>\n\tDemonstrable key account management experience at a buyer or senior decisionmaker level<br \/>\n\tCommercially astute \u2014 understands margin, pricing, trading terms and P&amp;L implications<br \/>\n\tExcellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills<br \/>\n\tData-literate \u2014 comfortable interpreting sales data, building forecasts and reporting to senior leadership<br \/>\n\tRelevant qualification \u2014 BCom (Marketing \/ Sales \/ Business Management), NDip or equivalent<\/p>\n<p>Preferred experience \u2014 strong differentiators<\/p>\n<p>\tExperience in the nicotine, vaping, tobacco or regulated consumer goods category<br \/>\n\tEstablished trade relationships in Western Cape and\/or Eastern Cape retail and wholesale channels<br \/>\n\tExperience managing distributor networks or sub-distributor relationships<br \/>\n\tExperience in a business scaling through growth \u2014 not just steady-state management<br \/>\n\tExposure to ERP or CRM systems for pipeline and account management<br \/>\n\tExperience launching new products into trade \u2014 ranging, pricing, promotional planning<br \/>\n\tMulti-region commercial responsibility (e.g. national accounts or two or more provinces)<br \/>\n\tOperational management experience \u2014 ability to step into or support operational functions beyond pure sales<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilites:<\/p>\n<p>Sales Strategy &amp; Revenue Growth<\/p>\n<p>\tOwn the company&#8217;s commercial strategy and revenue targets across all channels and regions<br \/>\n\tDevelop and execute go-to-market plans for existing and new product lines<br \/>\n\tIdentify growth opportunities across retail, wholesale, forecourt and independent trade channels<br \/>\n\tDrive new business acquisition \u2014 prospecting, pitching and closing new accounts<br \/>\n\tMonitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing to maintain competitive positioning<\/p>\n<p>Key Account Management<\/p>\n<p>\tOwn and grow relationships with the company&#8217;s top-tier retail and wholesale accounts<br \/>\n\tNegotiate trading terms, promotional agreements and ranging decisions with key buyers<br \/>\n\tEnsure key accounts are serviced to the highest standard \u2014 availability, compliance and relationship depth<br \/>\n\tResolve commercial disputes and escalations with speed and professionalism<\/p>\n<p>Sales Team Leadership<\/p>\n<p>\tLead, manage and develop the field sales and account management team<br \/>\n\tSet clear individual and team targets, conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions<br \/>\n\tDrive accountability \u2014 celebrate wins, address underperformance quickly and constructively<br \/>\n\tBuild a high-performance sales culture focused on results, discipline and customer focus<br \/>\n\tRecruit and onboard new sales team members as the business scales<\/p>\n<p>Channel &amp; Distribution Management<\/p>\n<p>\tManage distributor and sub-distributor relationships where applicable<br \/>\n\tEnsure optimal product ranging, availability and visibility across all trade channels<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with Operations to align sales volumes with supply chain capability<br \/>\n\tMonitor sell-through rates, stock holding and returns across the channel<\/p>\n<p>Commercial Reporting &amp;
